You can't treat one group of Americans differently than another group... if CA tells existing residents they can't register a new gas engine car from AZ or Texas but allows new residents to register their car that they already own when they enter the state... that is unconstitutional as hell....

The math has already been worked out. There is not enough minerals in The Earth to build EVs for everyone who would drive, so once they can outlaw petro powered vehicles, you will be sharing an EV with your neighbors at best, and be forced to use Mass Transit or ride a damn bicycle.

There is also not enough power to charge the EVs even if you could get every driver one. It would take an additional 3,000 Nuclear Power plants to supply the additional electricity. So Green Energy is a lie. It ends up consuming more energy, not less. 3,000% more.

They've tried to pass that in California a few times. The Dems want anyone who leaves to have to pay state income tax for the remainder of the year. So, if you move out of state in January, they still want state tax paid through December.

EV's are a temporary measure as the transition to mass transit takes place.

However, in the interim the turn to EV's will be on a large scale.

China is heavily invested in EV's and they very seldom choose the wrong path forward.

Are you kidding me? China has made bad decision after bad decision after bad decision. Their environmental record is horrible. Remember the Beijing Summer Olympics when they had to shut down Beijing for months before the Olympics and still had worse air pollution than any other city that I can think of? China has been building empty cities, killing its own citizens ever since 1949 in massive numbers. I can't think of a right path China has taken since the communists won their civil war.
