Imagine being told your EV truck has a 500 mile range, and you try to tow something only to find out you can't get there and back because your range went from 500 to 250 or as low as 125 miles. Good luck finding a charging station at just the right point, and of course you are going to wait, wait, wait to top the charge off, more or less depending on the charge's capabilities.

BTW, THE RANGE ISSUE gets worse if you live in a cold climate and dare want to turn the heater on, or it's hot out and you want to use your AC.

My commute in NYC takes 25 minutes by vehicle, but 1.5 hours by mass transit. I also live in apartment, so where will I charge my car?

A guy that I knew in CA had relatives living in OR, so he registered his truck in OR to avoid the ridiculous commercial plate requirement on pickups in CA. Some jealous bastard turned him in and he had to register it in CA and pay the $500+ fee for a commercial vehicle.
