Bye Bye D.O.E.

Somehow we got by before Jimmy Carter created it, and yes I know Congress wrote the bill, but it was Carter who pushed for it.

The Department of Education was one of Jimmy's best ideas right next to his selling the Canal to Panama for a buck.

Jimmy's Dept. of Education has cost us three trillion dollars and given us some of the dumbest kids on the planet, created by the Fed for by far the most money ever spent on educating a kid.

Teachers unions would be fine if they taught white supremacy in schools.

Look fool, white racism has cost America 51 trillion in the past 35 years alone. Our kids are smarter than the adults on the right.

Fake News. Please show examples of your allegation, be specific.

No one in the US is starving. As for this funding. It is about time parents started feeding their children. It is not a government activity. Welfare and SNAP are available for those at risk.

You don’t know what is going on?

Well, if you think Fox is News, or think that some anonymous poster on X that you know nothing about is “real” news, you almost certainly don’t.

The VPM report is especially instructive since it highlights the fact that the impact will be felt in the very districts that needed help the most. It especially I,pacts poor (and largely white) district in Southwest Va.

I can tell you that our system has cancelled summer school and is cancelling extra curricular activities and field trips.

Layoff notices have been issued.

So, read a few links. You might learn something!

Or you can just go on repeating the hoary old right wing anti-education tropes.

If you want more, I will be happy to acquaint you with the facts regarding the impact Trump’s recklessness are and will have on farmers.

Democrats turned the Department of Education into a social engineering and vote buying scheme. It’s what they do with everything.

Exactly. Another knife in the heart of the Left by President Trump! The Dept of Education has been turned into nothing more than a propaganda court for promoting progressivism, globalism, leftism, socialism, DEI, and indoctrination of our youth to add voters to the democrat party coffers.

Project 2025 has nothing to do with the law. I told you to be specific. Quoting a discredited think tank proposal is not law. Try again. As for the panic porn spread by VPM. It isn't a law either. Title 1 funding being cut off---try again, this time address your allegation.
I can tell you that our system has cancelled summer school and is cancelling extra curricular activities and field trips.
But what you fail to address is the fact that the voters in that district didn't approve the latest levy. When there isn't enough money approved by the people who live there, the logical things to cut are just exactly what you quote. Life is tough---its tougher when your stupid.

I'm not repeating anything. You seem to be intent on spreading misinformation---you know that's democrat-speak for LIES.

You get more delusional by the day.
Really?

" Racial and ethnic inequities have cost the U.S. economy some $51 trillion in lost output since 1990, San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly said Wednesday, citing data from a paper she and three co-authors will present at The Brookings Institution."

Economists have taken on the task of quantifying the cost of racial inequity on the U.S. economy over the past 30 years, through a report published by the Brookings Institute along with Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly. Using white men as the basis of parity, they estimate the U.S. GDP could have gained $51 trillion ($23 trillion from labor alone) since 1990 if racial gaps were closed. In 2019, over the period of just one year, the potential gains from equity total $2.6 trillion. This is just another addition to a growing portfolio of literature that quantifies the tremendous cost of discrimination in this country.

I study these things junior, all you do is run your mouth on the internet.

Trump can't close the Department of Education.

Just another of your .org kook sites. Nobody believes you.

Another idiot move by this administration.

To get rid of gov't bloat that spends more per student than any other nation and yet our students rank 40TH IN TEST SCORES? Sounds like the department of no education to me.

Test scores are not a valid indicator of anything.

Trump can't get rid of it and we spend more on military than the other top ten countries in military expenditures combined. Maybe some of THAT needs to go into education because killing the department and depending on corporate education is a fail.
