I was just reading about the new trans Pacific treaty that’s been signed between Japan and Australia and Canada and other countries and they left out America.

The only reason this hasn’t been in the news is because everybody is concentrating on that a$$ whole Trump.

Do you guys have any clue how badly Trump has screwed this country?

Americans should stop buying anything grown in North America or Australia, because they are genetically engineered to make them fat. Too bad, for 75 % of Americans cheap trumps everything else. Hehehe. No problem, they can pay back the difference to their health insurance copays.

This is hilarious. Guess they don’t care about intellectual property rights.

“The CPTPP has more chance of expanding membership since it froze some of the more egregious provisions of TPP — especially the US-pushed intellectual property protections that were likely to benefit big business in the United States at the expense of consumers in the region.”
The new Trans-Pacific Partnership hunkers down against Trump

These things are also a weapon against small and medium business too. So you will pay for this.

We shall see... The US has a lot of buying power they are losing.

Certainly didn't like big pharma attempting to prevent collective bargaining. It's a much better agreement now the US is out of it. Not to mention we have a FTA with China anyway.

The US has buying power? Only in the hands of those organizations that collect your student loan finance charges.

USA Farmers To Greatly Suffer From TPP

Japan is a major importer of beef and wheat of which a lot comes from the United States but is subject to significant import taxes...

With a 27% drop in taxes, Australia will be able to sell its beef to Japan much cheaper than the US... And Canada will be able to sell wheat at a 14% price advantage over the US. The US won't be able to compete in those markets and lost market share may mean having to sell cheaper to those Nations, or find other customers and lower prices there to compete for market access.

I don’t think Republicans realize what a disaster this is for the US economy.

When this becomes the number one new story, people are going to freak out. Trump supporters are so screwed. They thought the soybean tariffs were bad.

Why does Deanie boy hate America soo much?? ... :dunno:
It's your kind that hates America.

That's why your kind must be defeated. The future of the country depends on it. That could even include the future of the world.

Republicans are terribly dangerous. And their disastrous policies take a terrible toll.

The US had leveraged its position to great advantage in the original TPP. I'm pleased Trump pulled it out, the deal is much more equitable now, to the extent I support it.

Deanie boy thrives on hating people he disagrees with.

He has become pathologically angry and presents a clear danger to those around him.

Because rabid hatred like he exhibits is hard to contain over a long period of time. .... :cuckoo:

Pointing out who Republicans hate doesn't make me a hater.

Just pointing out the obvious.

Tyson's Foods, ever hear of them, hometown is Springdale, Arkanass, why they own a majority of beef stakes in Canada and the US..Enjoy yer mad cow diseased steaks..and burgers.

US farmers 'helpless' as TPP boosts Aust

After President Donald Trump withdrew the US from the TPP on just his third day in the White House in 2017, the States will be left on the sidelines when the re-shaped TPP-11 comes into effect 12am on Sunday AEDT.

"Our competitors in Australia and Canada will now benefit from those provisions, as US farmers watch helplessly."

Peterson said Australian and Canadian wheat producers will enjoy an immediate seven per cent drop in tariffs selling to Japan because of the TPP-11.

"By April it will have gone down by 12 per cent," he said.

"In very real terms, as of April 1, 2019, US wheat will face a 40 cent per bushel, or $US14 per metric tonne, resale price disadvantage to Australia and Canada.

"After nine years the US will face an automatic premium of $US70 per tonne.

"But by that time most of the market will be long gone."

--------------------

The magnitude of this disaster brings tears to my eyes. American farmers trusted Trump. Now they are being so screwed by Trump, their lives will never be the same. We haven't seen the worse.

And yet, USMB Republicans are thrilled we did get HUGE tax cuts for needy billionaires.
