But I thought tariffs didn't increase prices!

...and we need to stop and use what we already have.

Parts for cars are not currently tariffed. Trump cut the automakers some slack.

You have the completely wrong idea about these products. Buy American made and you won't have to worry. Don't buy from China.

There are very few items actually "american made" as ive explained.

Some auto parts still have tariffs, and im not just talking about automobiles, its parts for a lot of other things as well.

That is complete bullshit. Do you know how many factories there are in just my city alone, much less the state and entire country? What are they doing, assembling products made elsewhere? One of our largest employers is a tire company out of Korea. How do you import ties from Korea to make them in an American plant? The raw materials are OIL! Guess where that comes from? It's from right here and damned sure didn't come from Korea. Another large employer makes components for batteries. Guess where they get their raw material? It sure isn't Korea. They send their chemicals to what was my daughter's plant south of Nashville and they are put in Cadillac EVs. LG also is building a new appliance factory here. Where do they get their aluminum? From the aluminum plant they built just across the line in southern Kentucky.

Want to hear something hilarious? I have two cars, a Ford and a Toyota. My Toyota was built by my high school classmates in Georgetown KY. My Ford was bult in Mexico. Now which one is American and which one is Japanese? Or better yet, Mexican?

Henry repeating rifles.

Lol, just because things are assembled in america doesnt mean they are "made in america". Made in america means FULLY made in america, from the internal parts which are also made in america, and the final product.

Yes, some things are truly made in america, but they are rare. Virtually everything has imported parts.

That is the problem I have with you. That is simply not true. You are taking the definitions and painting everything with the wrong color paint.

t is not possible to give an exact percentage, as the definition of "all American" is not legally defined for a "Made in America" label, which requires "all or virtually all" of a product to be made in the US
. However, due to global supply chains, few products are entirely American in every single component and labor input, making the percentage of things that are
100%100 %
American in every aspect extremely low.

The point is was making is, it is hard to find anything that is 100% made in the USA with 100% made in the USA parts.

Wait? So fentanyl isn't an emergency anymore? So, trade deficits aren't an emergency anymore? I am so confused. If an emergency power is enacted due to an emergency and nothing has changed.... was there ever an emergency?
POTUS have only to think there's an emergency for there to be one...

May I cut in?

It's nothing more than a full admission by Trump that his tariffs were taxes all along. Some of us were smart enough to see that!

You been played, maga. Why not just admit that you are nothing more than Trump suckers!
4D Chess !!!

This is weird. Why would he pull any of the insane tariffs that HE PUT IN PLACE?

Trump scraps tariffs on beef, coffee and tropical fruit in a push to lower grocery store prices

It's almost as if tariffs increase prices. But, as we're told, that doesn't happen.
The wealthy elites in the White House enjoy their lavish meals while lots of Americans are struggling to make ends meet. What different parallel worlds they inhabit! lol. :)

👉 Tariffs and Price Dynamics

The article reveals a fascinating economic irony. Trump is now scrapping tariffs on beef, coffee, tropical fruits, and other commodities - essentially admitting that tariffs do indeed increase consumer prices.

Key Insights
  • Trump acknowledged that tariffs "may, in some cases" increase prices, which is a significant shift from his previous stance.
  • The tariff rollback comes after Democrats made significant gains in off-year elections, with voters citing economic concerns as their top issue.
  • Inflation remains elevated, despite Trump's claims of eliminating it.

Political and Economic Implications
The move appears to be a strategic response to:
  • Mounting public pressure about high grocery prices
  • Electoral losses attributed to economic dissatisfaction
  • The economic reality that tariffs ultimately impact consumer costs

Your Observation
Your sarcastic comment captures the core economic principle that tariffs typically increase prices for consumers. Economists have long argued that tariffs are essentially a tax that gets passed on to consumers. Trump's current action seems to implicitly validate this long-standing economic argument.

The irony is particularly stark given that these are tariffs Trump himself implemented, and he is now removing them in an apparent attempt to lower grocery store prices. This underscores the complex relationship between trade policies and consumer costs. :)

Housing in the USA is not connected at all as to Tariffs. Land is domestic. Labor is domestic. Supplies are domestic. Nobody911 does not understand the domestic conditions at all.
