But I thought tariffs didn't increase prices!

Which makes him an economically illiterate moron, since they hurt his own economy the most.
Tariffs hurt in the short term, sure — that’s the point. Strategic pain now to stop long-term economic bleeding. If that’s ‘illiterate,’ your Economics 101 textbook is missing half the chapters.

Which is stupidly and is an example, itself, of what trumps critics are saying.

Neither he nor you know anything about any of this, so naturally, he is doing everything wrong.
You obviously don't know what the **** you're talking about. Leave the adult discourse to the adults.

This is where we part.

I'm not interested in such a shallow and ignorant analysis.

These tariffs are hurting our citizens particularly because they are so idiotic in planning, design, and scope.

These general and shallow, "I read up to page 2 in the chapter on tariffs" talking points are useless and don't interest me.

Ah yes, the classic ‘I’m not interested’ exit — right after running out of explanations. Convenient timing.

Yes, not interested. I have education in this field. Of course I am not interested in what someone who knows less than anything about it has to say.

Because they say dumb things predicated on not knowing any details. As you have.

People with real expertise don’t need to announce it every other sentence. If you had an argument stronger than your resume, you’d be making it.

I didn't announce it at all. I explained myself once, in light of your whiny trolling.

And I think it's pretty funny that you think having a better than rudimentary grasp on a topic is "expertise".

Kinda says it all. No, I'm not an expert. I'm just not embarrassingly ignorant.

Right. That's what's really going on with tariffs. Everyone focuses on whether they are a tax and who is paying, but in reality, tariffs are punitive fines on people who trade with targeted foreign interests.

Tariffs are "buy American" with a stick, rather than a carrot.
Biden had tariffs.

Biden had 9% inflation.

Can you show us your pissy pants posts about his tariffs and inflation?

Ask for a refund on your “education”, Simp.

You should sue them too.

Why is it that Trumpsters think that the only way to do something is the chaotic caveman way?

Why don't they understand that we can agree on an issue -- such as optimizing tariff policy -- but disagree on how to approach it?

Is this REALLY all that ******* complicated for them? Is this really THAT FAR over their freaking heads?
We've been getting shafted on trades since like the 70s. I dont think "policy" is working, we need something else. I dont know if tariffs are it, but something.

We have not been getting shafted on trades, and trade deficits for the largest economy ever to exist are both expected and good things.

$17T in new manufacturing plant commitments, I'll say the tariffs re working.
$400b in new revenue, I'm sure the tariffs are working.

Now the Supreme Court will say they are illegal, always happens.

And our prices on things is sky high.

It's funny that Trump is spending his whole time trying to fix the problems that Trump caused.
That's pretty much the story of US government. At least as long as I've been keeping track.

Do you know the definition of "reciprocal"?

Do we really want to lower our cost of living so we can compete with China, who uses slave labor?

Tariff's are a short term solution to a long term problem. You play fair with us or it becomes our long term solution.
