Brits Knew Dossier Was Bogus in 2017 Prior to Trump Inauguration; Have Sent US AG / US IG Evidence

Do you actually believe this stuff? Why should I believe in the credibility of the people whose testimony you cite? I don't. This is a right-wing narrative only, which doesn't make sense.
'People' I cite..? :p

You should really open the links and actually read them before embarrassing yourself by calling the transcripts of the official testimonies of FBI Agent Page, FBI Deputy Director McCabe, Sally Yates, and other high-ranking Obama administration members...

Of course, I wouldn't expect you, DL, or some of the other rabid Trump-hating snowflakes to believe former FBI Director James Comey himself if he admitted on live TV that he and others had broken laws.

I mean, Comey told the entire world on live TV that Hillary Clinton broke laws but was too stupid to know she was doing it, which is why he said HE had decided she would not be indicted for those crimes, and snowflakes still insist Hillary never broke a law.

WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE OF FISA ABUSE?

"When the annals of mistakes and abuses in the FBI’s Russia investigation are finally written, Bruce Ohr almost certainly will be the No. 1 witness, according to my sources.

"The then-senior Department of Justice (DOJ) official briefed both senior FBI and DOJ officials in summer 2016 about Christopher Steele’s
Russia dossier, explicitly cautioning that the British intelligence operative’s work was opposition research connected to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and might be biased. Ohr’s briefings, in July and August 2016, included the deputy director of the FBI, a top lawyer for then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and a Justice official who later would become the top deputy to special counsel Robert Mueller".

Ohr’s activities, chronicled in
handwritten notes and congressional testimony I gleaned from sources, provide the most damning evidence to date that FBI and DOJ officials may have misled federal judges in October 2016 in their zeal to obtain the warrant targeting Trump adviser Carter Page just weeks before Election Day.

They also contradict a key argument that House Democrats have made in their formal intelligence conclusions about the Russia case."

Bwuhahahahaha........
Any reasonable examination of these two possibilities points to only one conclusion: The Trump-Barr tag team is political retribution against the FBI, rather than a legitimate effort to hold law enforcement accountable for a misstep.

Since Carter Page had a was under surveillance since 2013, this oct 2016 warrant was only a renewal. Highly unlikely anything different than the previous FISA warrants for the previous years. Why does Trump need to hire these people with such deep russia ties?

"In January 2017 then-U.K. national security adviser Sir Mark Lyall Grant hand-delivered a memo to soon-to-be national security adviser Michael Flynn's team that asserted the U.K. government had doubts about the credibility of British ex-spy Christopher Steele. Recent reports suggest Steele had briefed British intelligence officials on his dossier after the 2016 presidential election, and the heads of MI5 and MI6 were made aware of the contents of the dossier by late November.

“A whistleblower recently revealed the existence of a communique from our allies in Great Britain during the early days of the Russia collusion investigation,” Meadows said.

“Based on my conversations with that individual, and the credible timelines that are supported by other events, I made a referral to Attorney General William Barr and Inspector General Michael Horowitz for further investigation,” the North Carolina Republican added. “There now is overwhelming evidence to suggest that on multiple occasions the FBI was warned that Christopher Steele and the dossier had severe credibility issues.”

"Donald Trump’s campaign, it sat buried for more than 2 1/2 years in the files of a high-ranking State Department official."

Existing evidence in the form of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec’s written accountof her Oct. 11, 2016, meeting with FBI informant Christopher Steele exposed that:

1. Steele ADMITTED Hillary Clinton paid for the Dossier, that the Dossier was a POLITICAL document that he was adamant about releasing BEFORE the 2016 election to have an impact on the election

2. Steele LIED in his interview with Kavalec (which she IMMEDIATELY knew and annotated in her notes), proving Steele was totally UNRELIABLE / UNTRUSTWORTHY...

3. Kavalec immediately notified the Directors of the DOJ, NIA, CIA, and FBI PRIOR to them CHOOSING to illegally use the Dossier to commit FISA Court abuses and Perjury before Congress.

DOJ's Bruce Ohr testified under oath that HE told the Directors of the DOJ, NIA, CIA, and FBI Steele was UNRELIABLE / UNTRUSTWORTHY and that the Dossier was UNVERIFIED and UNRELIABLE PRIOR to them CHOOSING to illegally use the Dossier to commit FISA Court abuses and Perjury before Congress.

Now evidence shows the Brits gave the US / Obama administration's State Dept a report warning that Steele and the dossier had 'serious credibility' issues...

...and OBAMA'S STATE DEPARTMENT SAT ON IT FOR 2 1/2 YEARS.

** Remember, a newly-released e-mail from Obama National Security advisor Susan Rice sites Obama was briefed by then-FBI Director Comey in August 2016 about the 'Russia Collusion Investigation', demanded to be kept updated on every detail, that the Obama administration personnel who had access to this information and who attended meetings included Obama, Biden, Rice, Yates, Rosenstein, Clapper, Brennan, Comey, and SECRETARY OF STATE JOHN KERRY.

It should be noted that Ohr is also on record under oath stating that ROBERT MUELLER worked with him and Steele ON THE DOSSIER BEFORE the official investigation of Trump began and BEFORE Mueller was named Special Counsel....which, common sense dictates, if Ohr knew both Steele and the Dossier were unreliable / unverified then MUELLER KNEW as well....BEFORE he began his investigation.

Mueller also HAD to know Steele had been fired by the FBI for lying to the FBI, which is not only a crime but met the requirement for considering Steele unreliable and thus he and the Dossier could NOT be cited in the FISA Court warrant requests, which they were 3 times (1 initial and 2 renewals)!

As time goes on, not only does more and more evidence keep coming out exposing Obama and his top inner circle and agency directors were behind the exposed failed coup attempt but that Mueller was also working with the FBI / Ohr / Steele on the Dossier BEFORE the illegal FISA Court Warrant Requests were made and he knew everything....before he became Special Counsel!

Raw intelligence is supposed to be looked into.

Steele had RAW intelligence.

"Hey guys, I got some hints and suspicions about these things because these people talked about this. Maybe you should look into it."

Not everything is expected to be true exactly the way it was presented.

Its RAW.
hey I agree with that. after one looks into and verifies it as fact, then go for the warrants, no problemo, but knowing it is opposition research, then puts another, nope doesn't pass the mustard test. invalid as evidence for a warrant. and the judge should be told if presented.

Wow...well, it's lucky that no investigations were based solely on the Steele dossier then...eh?
please list your basis for this and what was used to launch the investigation.

simply saying shit just isn't enough anymore.
"the investigation"...I assume you mean the Mueller investigation.
This was started by the DOJ without outside application from other parties..no FISA, no Steele.
Rosenstein simply had to read the papers and follow @RealDonaldTrump

Bwuhahahahaha........

Everything you said is true. Let me add my two cents.

This whole Russian collusion thing started with the infamous Steele dossier. This obviously fictitious compilation of documents was trumpeted by the MSM as being the God-given truth and many people, including some posters on the USMB foolishly believed it. It's time to set the record straight once and for all.

There are a number of reasons why the fairy tale called the dossier should never have been believed. First, the author of the dossier had an intense and irrational hatred of Trump and would say or do anything to destroy his chance of getting elected. For example, in September 2016, Steele admitted to Ohr his feelings against then-candidate Trump when Steele said he "was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president." This clear evidence of Steele's bias was recorded by Ohr at the time and subsequently in official FBI files—but not reflected in any of the Page FISA applications.

The Nunes FBI Memo, Annotated

Steele's animosity towards Trump should have put everyone on notice that nothing he says can be believed unless verified by an independent credible source. So far that has not happened and I'm sure it never will. Some news sources claimed that parts of the dossier were verified but they never mentioned which parts were true. This omission proves they know nothing about the documents .

Second, Steele himself admitted, under oath, that nothing in the fair tale was verified. He further claimed that the documents were never intended to be presented as truthful.

“According to Steele’s courtroom version, the dossier is merely a compilation of bits of “raw intelligence” that were “unverified” and that he passed along because they “warranted further investigation” — i.e., not because he could vouch for their truthfulness. He gave them to American and British government officials, he maintains, only because they raised potential national-security threats, not because they actually established any such threats. That, he now says, was for government investigators to figure out. In sum, Steele’s defamation defense is not that what he wrote was true but that his reports “must be critically viewed in light of the purpose for and circumstances in which the information was collected.” There is laugh-out-loud stuff here: Steele’s declamation of his profound commitment to discretion and secrecy lest his “raw,” “unverified,” and possibly false reports defame anyone. He claimed that he and Fusion GPS had a solemn agreement not to disclose his work . . . except for whenever they decided to disclose his work — including to Fusion’s clients and to major press organs during the stretch run of a contentious presidential election. But not to worry: These discussions were “off the record,” a term Steele claims to have understood to mean “to be used for the purpose of further research but would not be published or attributed.”

Steele also admitted that most of the dossier was based upon on-line comments on what appeared to be a chat/gossip forum

“Transcripts of the closed door deposition of Christopher Steele, the former British spy, reveals he used online comments from a now-defunct CNN website as his major source to compile his infamous “Trump dossier.”

“According to the transcripts, Steele used a website called CNN iReport to back up his wild anti-Trump theories for his 2009 dossier. He now claims he “wasn’t aware” the information he found on the site was an online community forum, and that poster’s comments had not been “checked for accuracy.”

Christopher Steele ADMITS He Based His Entire Dossier on Unverified ONLINE COMMENTS

Third, the dossier was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. Generally employees (Christopher Steele) do what their employer (Hillary Clinton) wants them to do, especially when the employee is “desperate” and “passionate” about doing his employer's bidding. Further, Hillary's associates fed allegations to Steele, meaning that not only did Clinton pay for the dossier, she actually helped compose it!

Debunked anti-Trump dossier left out Hillary Clinton connection

CONCLUSION: No one of average intelligence, knowing the facts, could possibly believe that anything in the dossier was substantiated. The FBI knew it was unverified yet this fairy tale was presented to the FISA courts as being true. The dossier was so important in getting the FISA warrants that then FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information” (see link below). Everyone involved in this shameful and illegal hoax belongs in prison. Finally, all those who were indicted based upon this illegally obtained “evidence” should be made whole.

One last note for all you doubters: Please inform the rest of us which specific portions of the "dossier" were verified and how.

What partisan hogwash. You are just not use to an objective US AG who actually attempts to enforce existing law and seeks to hold people accountable when they violate the law.

You continue to defend Obama's '4-Horsemen' who, according to you, had justification to investigate a potential crime (despite Page testifying there was never any evidence of one that warranted an investigation Special Counsel appointment). At the same time you accuse Barr of being 'Trump's Boy' because he is investigating potential crimes based on existing / exposed evidence of potential crimes. Why the hypocrisy? Obama's '4-Horsemen' were 'objective and un-biased' for investigating Trump while Barr is corrupt/biased because he is investigating the investigators?

Investigating Trump when there was no evidence of a crime that warranted is / was NOT 'political', but the current US AG (and US IG) investigating evidence of potential crime is 'political retribution' because the people being investigated are Democrats?

:bsflag:

Nice attempt, but Weinstein and Comey / the FBI called the 1st FISA Court warrant request for surveillance of Page an 'INITIAL' request will follow-on renewals. EVEN if they were renewals, these renewals illegally used Dossier information - after they were informed that the source (Steele) was untrustworthy and that the Dossier contents were UN-verified, UN-substantiated, and UN-usable, which was a crime. These FISA Court requests also omitted the fact that the Dossier and its content was POLITICAL Opposition Research paid for by Hillary Clinton. Instead they passed the information off as 'Legitimate Intel', which it was NOT. (One snowflake has repeatedly attempted to call the Dossier 'Raw Intel', which it is not, either, anymore than unsubstantiated gossip or something written on a bathroom stall wall is.)

The Dossier is 100 percent balls on accurate

well actually, it began with a set up of George P. The obammy FBI sent a woman agent disguised as a business person to hit on old George. The set up was to attempt to discuss russia shit, and he didn't bite.

This dossier was complied by former mi6 agent who has spent significant time in Russia as a British mi6 agent. Good enough source of raw intelligence as anything. Nothing significant has been disproven in that, save for some minor details.

So, FISA extensions were illegally obtained?
What is the law that was broken?

Nice attempt to paint Steele as a God-fearing patriot doing his best to serve his country as well as attempting to protect and defend his nation's #1 ally, the United States. I almost shed a tear reading that bullshit....Now BACK TO REALITY.

Steele was not only PROVEN TO BE but ADMITTED TO BEING a TRUMP-HATING ex-MI6 foreign spy who how made his living working WITH THE RUSSIANS WHILE WORKING FOR OBAMA'S FBI WHILE WORKING FOR FUSION GPS WHILE WORKING FOR HILLARY CLINTON IN AN ATTEMPT TO ACQUIRE POLITICAL OPPOSITION RESEARCH AGAINST TRUMP FROM THE RUSSIANS FOR HER, information that was used by BOTH Obama's '4-Horsemen' AND Hillary in an attempt to alter the 2016 election.

Steele LIED to the FBI (a crime for which he was not indicted/convicted) about talking to the media, which means THE FBI KNEW STEELE WAS A LIAR / UNTRUSTWORTHY.

Steels LIED to Kavelac during an interview - she spotted it immediately & jotted it down in her notes (that were later turned in and released). Steele also ADMITTED to hating Trump, having an agenda against him, and that he wanted to release the Dossier info before the election to hurt Trump's election chances. She immediately notified the '4 Horsemen' that Steele was a lying Trump-hater with a political agenda PRIOR to the '4 Horsemen' CHOOSING to ignore her and Ohr's warning that both Steele and the Dossier was unreliable / unusable.

Steele worked with the Russians, got Dossier contents from Russians (and Yahoo News), was paid BY THE RUSSIANS...as well as by Fusion GPS, the FBI, and by Hillary for the information.

Steele ADMITTED he had no clue what was in the Dossier and made no effort to substantiate any of it ... and evidence shows the FBI had it for months and made no effort to attempt to substantiate any of it during that time.

Steele may be a 'hero' to snowflakes, but the fact is he was / is a POS who would have sold out his own mother 1) for cash to get richer & 2) as long as doing so would have contributed to Trump losing the 2016 election.

We know that he spent two decades as an officer in Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, sometimes known as “MI6”), where he enjoyed the highest esteem from his own bosses as well as his counterparts in the U.S. intelligence community. We know that he spent long stints in Russia, where he built up his knowledge of the country and language and cultivated a wide-ranging network of contacts. At one point he ran the SIS Russia Desk.

We owe Steele our thanks.

Seriously, if you want us to not trust intel from a former MI6 agent, how the hell do you trust other forms of intel from people in the middle east?
