Brilliant Biblical Scholar Claims God Compelled Putin To Invade Ukraine

"Televangelist Pat Robertson proclaimed that Putin is “being compelled by God” to invade Ukraine — his take on Putin’s motivations is questionable at best, but his support for Putin as part of a divine plan is notable. As things escalate in Ukraine, evangelicals and Republicans alike are faced with a hard choice: How do they support the authoritarian policies of Putin while Ukraine and its evangelical population face the horrors of war?

Whether or not American evangelicals try to distance themselves from Putin in this current news cycle, they have long gravitated toward the Russian president for his hard-line stance against Muslims and, most importantly, his anti-LGBTQ agenda. For members of the religious right, alliances with these leaders present a new frontier in their hope to achieve a theocracy in America."

Robertson brings up an interesting point.....Is Putin called on by God to invade Ukraine in order to create a staging ground for the ultimate attack on Israel?? And we all know that the ultimate attack on Israel is the life's blood of an evangelical Christian...so how could we have ever expected anyone to stop Putin from doing something that God has called him to do?? Or is Robertson's take on this just as batshit crazy as Evangelicals fixation on wanting Israel to be destroyed to bring Jesus back?

China is attacking "Progressive values" much worse than anything Putin's done, but the CCP keep Progressive balls in the lockbox. You never hear a peep against China from any "Progressive"

I see it slightly different

God is the greatest chess player there ever was

Source for this strange idea?

and he can see all the moves that men can make from the beginning of time till the Last Days

If a human being is able to think from 12 o'clock to midday meal then we call this being "overwhelming intelligent".

He is just smarter than godless libs

Who you call "godless libs" calls god "my children", child of god. An open secret is it that not all of his children are goodly children. Reason: They don't like to be how god thought them to be.

^^ Religious fundamentalist psycho babble ^^

Sorry to have to say so: But I do not see his fundament in Christ.

Who is God playing chess against -- if he is the one who has already written everyone's destiny?

Yes - he has. But this is not a game and our decisions are free. In general exist all this concepts like for example predestination, karma, fate, other-directed, self-directed, chance and so on and so on. The Dalai Lama said in this context the very nice words: "Our destiny is not totally in our own hands - but it is also not totally out of our own hands!"

Robertson prayed to God to steer hurricanes away from his company's Virginia Beach, Virginia headquarters. He credited his prayers for steering the course of Hurricane Gloria in 1985.

During Robertson's unsuccessful presidential bid in 1987, Robertson told a reporter from The Wall Street Journal that his wedding date was actually five months after the date he had always maintained.
Reporters said that the actual wedding date meant that his first son was conceived out of wedlock and that Robertson had lied about the date of his marriage in an attempt to cover the truth up.
While conceding the reports were accurate, Robertson said that begetting his son out of wedlock occurred before Jesus Christ had entered his life.
Robertson denounced the media choosing to report on the issue as "outrageous" and "reprehensible."

Robertson is opposed to abortion and same-sex marriage. He has described feminism as a "socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.

While discussing the Mark Foley scandal on the October 5, 2006 broadcast of the show, Robertson condemned Foley, saying he "does what gay people do" and claiming that it would not hurt Republican chances in the elections, as "the church people understand forgiveness, they understand sin.

Many of Robertson's opinions mirror those of fellow evangelical pastor Jerry Falwell, who frequently appeared on The 700 Club. He agreed with Falwell when Falwell stated that the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks were caused by "pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays, lesbians, the American Civil Liberties Union and the People For the American Way."

In April 2002, Robertson acknowledged buying a race horse, named "Mr. Pat", for $520,000. He told a New York Times reporter that his interest in the horse was based purely on its aesthetics. "I don't bet and I don't gamble. I just enjoy watching horses running and performing."

Robertson has also been accused of using his tax-exempt, nonprofit organization, Operation Blessing International, as a front for his own financial gain, and then using his influence in the Republican Party to cover his tracks.
After Robertson made emotional pleas in 1994 on The 700 Club for cash donations to Operation Blessing to support airlifts of refugees from Rwanda to Zaire, a reporter from The Virginian-Pilot stated that Operation Blessing's planes were transporting diamond-mining equipment for the Robertson-owned African Development Corporation, a venture Robertson had established in cooperation with Zaire's dictator, Mobutu Sese Seko, whom Robertson had befriended earlier in 1993.

Robertson fits in very well with republicans.

PHOENIX — They opened with an invocation, summoning God’s “hedge of thorns and fire” to protect each person in the dark Phoenix parking lot.

They called for testimonies, passing the microphone to anyone with “inspirational words that they’d like to say on behalf of our J-6 political prisoners,” referring to people arrested in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, whom they were honoring a year later.

This was not a church service. It was worship for a new kind of congregation: a right-wing political movement powered by divine purpose, whose adherents find spiritual sustenance in political action.

The Christian right has been intertwined with American conservatism for decades, culminating in the Donald Trump era. And elements of Christian culture have long been present at political rallies.

At a Trump rally in Michigan last weekend, a local evangelist offered a prayer that stated, “Father in heaven, we firmly believe that Donald Trump is the current and true president of the United States.” He prayed “in Jesus’ name” that precinct delegates at the upcoming Michigan Republican Party convention would support Trump-endorsed candidates, whose names he listed to the crowd.

“In Jesus’ name,” the crowd cheered back.

We are talking about God,” said Patty Castillo Porter, who attended the Phoenix event. She is an accountant and officer with a local Republican committee to represent “the voice of the Grassroots/America First posse” and said she loved meeting so many Christians at the rallies she attends to protest election results, border policy or COVID mandates.

“Now God is relevant,” she said. “You name it, God is there, because people know you can’t trust your politicians, you can’t trust your sheriffs, you can’t trust law enforcement. The only one you can trust is God right now.”

But you can trust Trump?

I have lost all faith in religion.
Not God but these people, like Robertson should scare everyone.

This is very sad.

In my opinion God can predict the decisions we make before we make them

which is what any good chess player does

There are surveys and polls pointing to Americans being less Christian today than we were 50 or 100 years ago

And the thought of a godless America brings great joy to liberals

When Robertson is mocked by the public libs think they are winning

but you’re not

God’s plan will be fulfilled when faith in God is at its lowest

so libs are merely hastening the day of Armageddon and the return of Christ

They are just poorly educated. TV preachers are largely a disgrace.

That old ratbag would say that. Hes a godbothering republican. Surely no one would believe him.

Putin has his "quirks" no doubt. But he is a Godly defender of traditional values such as having armed snatch squads clear the streets of bummers to protect our marriages. If only we had legends like this in the west. There would be no tranny truth time sessions in our nurseries.
Dont make me vomit you idiot.

Bible scholars existed before radio and TV

Rev Scofield for instance

but you dont like him either

The Bible seems clear that the final days will come after most churches have become corrupted by modern culture

Scofield had no religious education. He was a convicted felon and disbarred lawyer. He was hired by Samuel Untermyer to write a different Bible to promote Christian Zionism. He was not a scholar.
