No matter the situation, as a driver you are responsible for your vehicle and being aware what is in front of you before you accelerate. Whether she accelerated with malice, inattentiveness, or sheer panic is irrelevant. Those at risk must react to the situation they find themselves in. In this case federal law stipulates lethal force is justified. Once you set aside all the nonsense, there is only one possible outcome, this was a justified shooting.

Federal law may not stipulate that this shooting was justified. Let's wait for the investigation and possible trial.
To me, this video does not suggest that the officer has any justification to believe that his life was in grave danger in that moment.

Hopefully these guys had body cameras on and we will get even clearer videos of what happened and where the drivers attention was as the two officers approached from the left.
