Breaking: Woman shot while trying to kill ICE agents in Minnesota

You can see that she struck the officer. Also, where was the outrage when that very same officer was struck and dragged by another person who weaponized their vehicle?

Did she strike him or did he put himself in the position to be grazed by the vehicle by reaching out and touching it.

Simple solution. Stop harrassing agents who are enforcing our laws. Stay out of their way, and everyone goes home safely tonight.

ICE agents are grabbing ppl off the street, detaining people for no justification and disappearing ppl into detention centers without adequate representation. Fourth, Fifth, Six and Fourteenth amendments are being violated. And that doesn't even cover international law or federal statutes protecting the rights of people in the US. They're NOT enforcing the law, they're breaking them in a Gestapo like fashion. You can't violate the constitution in order to enforce immigration policy. What does all that sound like to the right wingers in here who have been screaming about tyrannical government for decades? Open your damn eyes, the tyrannical government you supposedly been sooo against is right here, right now.

A lot of things have changed since 2004. Back then the law was still ruled unclear, despite a much earlier ruling in Tennesse vs Garner. This is what allowed qualified immunity to shield the officer from liability in Brosseau v Haugen. Since then, the law has clearly established that shooting an unarmed driver when they could have avoided a moving vehicle is a violation of the 4th amendment. So Ross would likely not get qualified immunity as a result.
And I’m supposed to take your word for it?

I'm sure she was panicked when three of his buddies in masks with guns started screaming obscenities at her.

Not sure why you think this guy harrassing two CITIZENS makes him look better.

1) Parking violations don't merit murder.

2) Last time I checked, we still have a first Amendment, and she has every right to taunt thugs.

3) She wasn't steering "right at them". Ross ran in front of her car as she tried to get around him.

Wait, she was trying to flee the scene, leaving her wife there? That doesn't make any sense.

You lie at every turn....

No guns were drawn on this woman until she drove at the agent she placed in front of her vehicle, and he only drew his weapon when he realized she was heading right at him...

She blocked a road for over 3 minutes.....yeah, new video shows her blocking that lane for 3 minutes....impeding the ICE vehicles....you dumb shit.

You are lying....or you didn't bother to actually watch the video.....The agent did not run in front of her vehicle, he was on the passenger side when she backed up and changed the orientation of her SUV .......putting the officer in front of her vehicle......

She was trying to flee the scene because she stepped on the ******* gas, you moron.......she thought she could get around that agent but the adrenaline likely distorted her vision and depth perception and she hit him....

For those who didn't see the video...here is video from a house security camera from across the street showing that the officer was not in front of the vehicle ....and then she backs up and changes the angle of the car, placing the agent in front of her......

 :cuckoo:

Maybe he should learn to stop standing in front of cars that may try to flee.

It’s very possible that his previous incident and poor training lead him to make a very poor decision here.

He didn't.........he was on the passenger side, not in the front.......when she backed up she changed the angle of the car and put the agent in front of her....

You posted that without watching the actual video...

He could have moved. Police experts say he messed up.

A third officer, who had been out of the way on the passenger side of the car then walks around the Honda’s hood, stands just in front of the driver and appears to be holding his phone up like he’s filming.

“Why would he do that? Why would he put himself in a more dangerous position than he was already in?” asked Geoffrey P. Alpert, an expert on policing at the University of South Carolina, who called it “absurd” for an officer to use his body to try to block a 4,000-pound SUV.

Darrel W. Stephens, former chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, also pointed to this moment as the baffling first step in a series of questionable actions that most police departments have discouraged for years. As a police chief, he prohibited officers from standing in front of cars in the early 1990s.

“I can’t explain why he would stand there and place himself in front of the car,” Stephens said. “That’s a dangerous decision to make.”

Wow....that "expert" didn't watch the video from the security camera from across the street....likely made those comments before the video came out.....on CNN....

He was on the side of the vehicle.....the video shows he was on the side of the vehicle.....

When she decided to flee the scene, she backed up.....and the angle of the car changed, placing the officer in front of the car........

What about that do you not understand?

I have posted the video that shows this.......if you don't watch it, you don't know.....and that "expert" doesn't know either because he didn't see that video.......

Once you see the video from the security camera from across the street, and then go back to the very first video released.....you can see the car change the angle, and the agent coming into the front of the car....then, if you watch, you see her start forward, and the agent...seeing her accelerating directly at him...draws his weapon....

You can watch the actual video...released by CNN........and you will see that the "expert," doesn't know what he is talking about...

At the same time.........the video from the agents cell phone clearly shows her looking at the agent in front of her....and she still guns the engine and accelerates............hitting the officer....

Take it up with the experts. They say he messed up. He stood in a terrible position.

I’m told that this is the second time he has been hit by a fleeing suspect. Probably not the smartest guy and hasn’t learned not to stand in front of a car that might flee.

Wow, that's a fanciful interpretation

What that video shows me is that Officer McShooty wasn't in her path at all.

You mean this video.....the other video that was released that shows her actually hitting him?

The second video shown on the news segment.....shows here SUV hitting the agent...

Again.....CBS had on an expert and they pulled the segment....because the other video had been released and made their "expert" into an idiot.....

You can watch the video yourself........bu that would mean you would have to admit the expert was wrong...

According to you. I’ll go with what the experts think.

They say he was positioned poorly. Don’t stand in front of a car that might flee. Makes sense to me. Maybe he’ll learn this lesson before it happens to him a third time.

I’m sure we’ve all seen the video.

Experts still think he messed up. I agree with them.

He should probably move out of the way.
