I grant you, not allowing the first officer to open the door, choosing to escape instead, for what would have undoubtedly been a misdemeanor at that time, was a deadly foolish move. Every single instructional video available by attorneys, will tell you to cooperate, and fight it in court, later, not on the side of the street. It will end badly and sometimes, right there, on the side of the street. You cannot win a confrontation with government forces on the side of the street, right or wrong. Even if armed, and actually being confronted illegally, you really cannot even shoot in self-defense and expect a good outcome. She was like Babbitt in this respect. She really did not consider, they would actually shoot her. If surrounded by government cars, government officers with guns, it is in your short term long term best interests to go along with them. The really, actually might kill you, and it is worth the consideration. In this case, (unlike Babbitt) she will not be up for a Darwin Award for stopping her line down through the gene pool, as I understand, she already has a daughter. I have no idea how that works, as it is said, the woman leaning over her, in the car after her killing, was her wife.

What would happen to woman doing that to one of your local Jackson area LE type friends you claim to have? Probably the same damned thing if not worse.

Her actions make her a threat to all agents there. She was the equal to a mass shooter only she used a car.

He shouldn't have put himself in front of her vehicle like that. Anyone can tell from watching the videos that clearly his life was not in danger. Discharging his weapon at the point that he did was not even going to prevent him from having to move out of the way of the car. He obviously should have just moved out the way. It's clear from the video that she was turning full right to flee, and it's possible she didn't even see him till the last moment. You cannot execute people for fleeing.

After reviewing the videos of the shooting numerous times, including several times in slow motion, I simply cannot see how the ICE agent was justified in shooting the woman in the car. He was no longer in front of the car when he opened fire, and she was already clearly turning to the right to avoid him. He was in no danger when he opened fire. This was a bad shoot.

You need your eyes checked. If he was no longer in front of the car, why is the bullet hole straight on into the windshield? Explain that!

Yes, I see similarities in the two. If shooting Babbit was justified, then so was shooting Goode.

But honestly, I don't think either one was justified.

Obviously she was breaking the law with obstruction of traffic and fleeing, but it seems they could have pursued her or run her license plate and arrested her later.

Not a choice in her case, as the agent was in front of her car.

You are correct, her wheels didn't turn right until after he fired, she was headed straight for him prior to that.
