Run, Donny, run. That would be a gift to the Dems. His stock hasn’t risen with the general public, so I don’t see how the result wouldn’t just be another humiliating loss!

Trump is too old and too controversial.
DeSantis is more electable, and he just as tough as Trump.

There is an argument there in this regard, I made it too before.

My belief is that many in the security apparatus worry about what he would do if he knows it is his last term he won't be restricted in his policies. Even his supporters must acknowledge this risk.

His 2016 policies would be winners today but I get the feeling he is going further into the red meat for a potential 2024 run. He had a record number of GOP votes in 2020, but I am not sure he would get the same in 2024 as some would worry his more heavy domestic policies would be enacted.

Protection of your border is a winner, so is confronting unfair trade and enemies, pushing the National Guard or capital punishment for a broad array of crimes would NOT be popular in a broad context.

He seemed more protective of America in the face of enemies but yet, libertarian in U.S policies whe he won 2016. It allowed him to grab votes from demographics that GOP didn't in the past. I'm not so sure he is going to be so "moderate" today.

The second after Trump or DeSantis is sworn in they should have teams move into the DOJ and the 7th floor of the FBI building and remove everyone and seize all computers and phones... march them all out and send them home empty handed until further notice....
Then fill their slots with real American first patriots.....

You don't know that. DeSantis might have all the right ideas and intentions, but no one else has that depleted uranium armor plating Trump has that allows his to take blast after blast and keep ticking, while emotionally rallying a whole nation passionately behind him. That comes from the MAN, not just the ideas.

Truth be told I'm not much on warmed-over left-overs.

We don't go by popular vote here in the states. That being said, Trump was only behind in popular vote in California. All other states he dominated in when he won them.

2016-Trump won 304-227 electoral votes

2020-Fake election, Covid scamdemic and a democrat shutdown of the entire nation to bring Trump down- Trump lost by the same margin

2024-Right now we're at a huge downturn in the economy, a recession, deep debt and record 40 year inflation. Do you really think people want 4 more years of this?
