More. Our politicians can't pardon anybody on a whim. We have more than two parties in our political institutions, which lends itself to better transparency in govt. Our members of the judiciary are not appointed by govt, but by their peers. If our govt weaponised its justice dept, the govt would be out on its ear. Our Prime Minister cannot do executive orders - our whole parliament (both houses) have to pass the law.
