With respect to Iran, US and Israeli goals are the same, to end Iran's ability to attack other countries, but while Israel is concerned about Iran's Arab proxies, Trump believes he can bring peace to the whole ME and even into Central Asia, so while Israel has been ready for some time to attack Iranian infrastructure essential to the ayatollahs' power, Trump is still reluctant to do that for fear it will have a negative effect on his goal of achieving a broader peace.

Fars reports that two oil tankers were allowed to pass through the strait this morning after the ceasefire between Iran and the US took effect.
