the guard went to that floor because an alarm went off saying a room door was a jarred and left opened for a lengthy time....

No one called the front desk? There were other guests too right next door and below also. The valet had alerted Security to breaking glass falling from above also.

A MAINT worker came up too and the Guard stopped him short. WTH? Did they not think 200 rounds from AK47 fired down the hallway was a big deal? What Gun fired those rounds? They went through the room door? Silent shots?

While that may all be correct, the Sheriff himself seems to contradict your ideas, I in that he said they have a special team in place used to quickly reapond to events like these to "stop the actions of the perp", instead of waiting for a safe ingress into his position. It seems to me there had to have been some confusion among the authorities (which is nothing to denigrate them for), given the slow response.
