BREAKING: Supreme Court blocks Biden's eviction moratorium!

The Supreme Court late Thursday blocked the Centers for Disease Control from enforcing a federal moratorium on evicting renters during the Covid pandemic, a defeat for the Biden administration’s effort to continue the moratorium despite an earlier signal from the court that the government’s action lacked the proper legal basis.

This is two for two if not mistaken.

He couldn't take the heat for doing his job and allowing the moratorium to end without action from Congress...and Democrat led Congress wasn't willing to take the blame for not acting
More to this point...
Even though senators and HOR are elected...the governor's of many states has the right to recall a representative.

There are laws protecting the person/entity you are acting on behalf for as an agent... you cannot act against their interests. And when these states claim that their own government employees were harmed by legislation proposed or passed by their own state's representative....they have legal grounds to do just that.

Just saying....

Yep, and if I remember right, the Stay in Mexico policy was also upheld.

So then out they go. No biggie. Those who can afford to rent should not rent. Save money. Everyone wins.

All the Judge has to do is issue orders that the Democrats PAY all these peoples rent.

You'll NEVER hear another word from them again.
That isn't true. In fact, that is the fastest way for Democrats to get more votes. They pay the rent and that person is now beholden to the Democrats.

Not a good idea at all.

95% of those people wouldn't ever get evicted if they had any ambition to work and pay bills.

There are a small percent of evicted people that truly can't help it, but the majority of them get themselves evicted. And you can't blame the renters, they have to make a living.

It's like crying because a restaraunt won't let you eat because you don't want to work to earn money to pay for the meal.
Dipshit, one can eliminate the possibility of eviction, Dipshit.

Some of the stupid Moon Bats were bragging today because a low court overturned the DeSantis rule against not requiring masks in schools.

This is a much bigger overturn of Biden.

Hehe!

I'm more irked by this week's ban on the import of Russian weapons and ammunition. Especially since the Potatohead in Chief just freely gave the Taliban weapons that I can't even afford.

What an effing dickhead.

I like how this was moved to the Law and Justice System forum, while countless nonsensical threads with a tenuous nexus to politics litter the first 100 threads in the Politics forum.

Congratulations, you conservitards just made millions of people homeless.

Are you happy?
No, If they haven't been paying their rents or mortgage, THEY made themselves homeless. Most landlords aren't rich, most only own a few pieces of property, why should they be ruined because someone else can't or won't pay their bills.

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against a federal freeze on evictions, dealing a blow to the Biden administration’s effort to shield cash-strapped tenants from the coronavirus pandemic.

In a 6-3 ruling that broke along familiar ideological lines, the court lifted the stay on a federal judge’s order which found the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) eviction moratorium unlawful.

6-3 SCOTUS strikes down latest Biden administration eviction ban. Justice Breyer dissents, joined by Justices Kagan and Sotomayor.

Court:
“If a federally imposed eviction moratorium is to continue, Congress must specifically authorize it.”
Biden's handlers knew this was illegal, but were desperate to avoid the inevitable nationwide eviction rioting stemming from the Democrat destruction of the economy via their seditious/terrorist Covid Scam.

Not that the Democrats care about the millions of lives they've destroyed - they just don't want to face the political consequences.

So more of the poison that created the problem was their "solution."

Democrats: More dangerous than Brownshirts.

Anything coherent to offer?
You know the answer.

Democrats burned the economy down for power & money, but somehow, it's the fault of conservatives.

Democrats: Hopelessly delusional street thugs.
