BREAKING: Supreme Court blocks Biden's eviction moratorium!

Trump won all the time and Xiden loses all the time, which is why leftists prefer Xiden.

...well, the Dems/''leftists''/ etc think you should not obey the law--they HONOR and protest for criminals....and now, they think you should not pay your rent ----MORE total idiocy from the '''leftists'''/left
..DeBLMasio calls the owners Right WIng Extremists !! HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAH
....the left/''''leftists'''/etc HATE smart industrious/etc people --like owners of rental properties and LOVE criminals/lazy bums/stupid people = MORE total idiocy....no wonder the '''leftists''' are failures
..just like the word ''racism''', the words '''white supremacist/right wing extremists''' mean nothing anymore--we LAUGH at them HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

The Communist playing at being the Mayor of NYC says private property should be abolished.

This is why the never-ending hordes of turd-worlders are being dumped in America (why they hated Trump's wall and his immigration policies). The tipping point is near.

There must be due process when committing search and seizure of private property... even eminent domain requires due process...and the government eviction moratorium presidential mandate was in essence the seizure of private property and making it public property...

And that rubs all the way into one of the bill of rights.

Really sketchy stuff.

excalibur yes---that's a major issue - mucho uneducated ''workers'' coming up here....California is the immigrant/illegal capital of the US and it's one of the highest priced states to live in --more people -higher prices -higher rental

almost unbelievable they did that crap

The court did the right thing...the CDC has no authority over property owners...if we had an honest and intelligent press it would have never gotten this far...so many blunders and misdeeds by libs get a pass by the media that it has made the dems think they can do whatever they want....if the media held the dems feet to the fire the democrat party would be a better party....

I completely agree...
Most of the large rental properties are held by institutional investors...pension funds and mutual funds...

They were losing their money on this deal...now I understand that there's risk involved with any investments...but this wasn't one of the risks calculated on...the government not allowing them to kick out dead beats and get paying renters.

This was political theater...calculated to get Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer off the hotseat.

He couldn't take the heat for doing his job and allowing the moratorium to end without action from Congress...and Democrat led Congress wasn't willing to take the blame for not acting.

Now they're going to attempt to blame the Supreme Court.

And that will fail.

The Court said the same thing they said last time...the moratorium was not legal WITHOUT LEGISLATION ENACTED BY CONGRESS.

The ball is right back in Pelosi, Schumer and Biden's court in that order. This is their failure to act...no one else's.

JohnDB o, so it wasn't just the landlords [ actual landlords ] that were losing $??
Lots of various states have pension plans for the state government employees...these usually invest in low risk and usually low return rates investments like bonds and real estate investment trusts. (REITs)

These are the large investors in residential property rentals...but also there are those who rent rooms in their homes and houses acquired from deceased family members or realtors who find an especially juicy deal on a house.
All were being harmed by this presidential executive order...

95% of those people wouldn't ever get evicted if they had any ambition to work and pay bills.

There are a small percent of evicted people that truly can't help it, but the majority of them get themselves evicted. And you can't blame the renters, they have to make a living.

It's like crying because a restaraunt won't let you eat because you don't want to work to earn money to pay for the meal.

Dumbasses and drug addicts can't just squat in an apartment building and expect the landlord or management company to keep up mortgage payments and pay for building maintenance and upkeep etc.

....I thought the rule of thumb was 1/4 of your pay for housing??...a lot of these people can't do basic math...and they spend on crap....I never had cable TV.....I never spent beyond my means .....never went on a vacation in decades....etc/etc

So kick them out...and encourage those that can afford rent to buy a small house, etc. Don't rent. Everyone wins.

When you own your own structure and have built it so that it can be dismantled and put back in storage, you will have accomplished something important: screwing of the rental pimps that you do not like. You have paid this pimp for a long time to inhabit the space the pimp’s structure defines. Alternatives are evolving in the American rhizome because home ownership is a profoundly American idea, and the Pimp has gotten away with quite a bit of violence during his/her reign. In the future, battles will be fought over the definitions of housing and their fascist, class-difference-maintaining codes and gestapo-style regulations.
