I don't know how this works, but I've always been under the impression that parents could remove their kids from class based on specific material if they want to.

One of my daughters is a teacher, I'll ask her if I remember to. And I wonder if it's a state-by-state thing.

That would be consistent with democratic principles!

But the entire issue is being fought out by the government's (judicial branch) demand that school children can be shielded from hearing science's views that contradict religious dogma. It's just not going to stop until religious superstitious beliefs are back in the classrooms.

Ask your daughter for her opinion too, besides what is the law.

It needs to finally be publicly offered by the churches that the bible's teachings are not to be interpreted as the literal truth. This ruling is taking the debate in the wrong direction and against science.
