It is estimated that there were around 30 thousand of them. Anyway, the claim about paid protesters is just silly.

Furgal if he is guilty should answer for his actions, yes. But what surprises the most is where the federal authorities had been during these 15 years. Furgal was a MP of the local parliament, then the State Duma, then he became a governor. Nobody in Moscow seems to have cared about him. But when his rating in the kraj got to rise while Putin's one was declining, when 'the party of the authorities' EdRo lost almost all seats in the local parliament, it became known that he was engaged in murders 15 years ago. Strange coincidence, isn't it?
