In this case, it's true in that Patti Doyle did make that claim, though she later retracted it, but she was wrong; a Clinton campaign staffer had not in fact circulated a birther conspiracy theory.

The campaign staffer in question, who was dismissed from the campaign, was Judy Rose. And the email she sent which led to her dismissal, was not about the birther conspiracy. The birther conspiracy was the claim that Obama was ineligible to be president because he was not born in the U.S.. The email Julie Rose sent claimed that Obama was a secret Muslim having spent a number of years attending a Muslim school in Indonesia. It had nothing to do about him being born in Kenya. In fact, it even states he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.
