Breaking News! Andrew McCabe Fired Without Pension

Honestly, I feel like McCabe is an idiot. He should have sucked up more to his boss. Like he should have enough life experience to know how these situations play out. All he had to do was make friends with Trump, maybe not advertise to the world that he was going to work until the day he officially received his pension, and quietly gone off on his own way after a reasonable duration, like how most smart normal people handle these types of employment situations. Honestly, I think he could have handled the situation a lot better if he really wanted his pension or whatever. I'm not going to say firing him was in the right - it definitely looks bad. But he was the former Deputy Director of the FBI. For his title, that demonstrated an extreme lack of people sense. I agree that it sucks if he has worked every day in his life, until this point, but stuff like this happens all the time. If he really wanted his pension, he shouldn't have taken it for granted. Honestly, I'm not sure if this guy just did it for the attention. With that type of reputation honestly, I don't see why he should have any real issues in life... imagine how much he would charge for consulting or legal counsel.

Sucked up to Trump? Trump was out to destroy McCabe's credibility since Comey told him contemporaneously what Trump said to him leading up to Comey's firing. However, Comey also told several others, so is Trump going to also try to destroy all their credibility? Mueller knows all about it. BTW, welcome to USMB.

Dumb Donnie and stupid Sessions didn't consider how the Federal pension system works. All McCabe needs is two days working for the Federal Government and he will be eligible for his pension. Working for a Congressperson qualifies. McCabe is being flooded with job offers from Democrat Congressmen and women. He will work for two days and reapply for his pension.

I've heard his pension will only be about $60k/year, but he has earned it and deserves it. Also, his wife is a prominent doctor, so they should be okay financially.

McCabe, who attacked our democracy, is likely heading to prison. Tick tock...

Wife receives half million dollars from Clinton clown posse.
Husband oversees Clinton email investigation.
Dahhhhhhhh ya think?

I think you're on permanent ignore. Bye...
Trump supporters will be desperate to defend Trump's horribly immature, inexperienced and vengeance filled hateful firing. All Trump did is poke a poisonous snake.

Is treasonous Michael Flynn still receiving his military pension? If so, it should be revoked.

Flynn's pension does not appear to be in danger. Would be a huge mistake to allow politicians and horrible human beings like Trump the power to screw over public employees and servants.

The snake was already poisonous, moron. the only thing you can do with a snake is kill it.

What trial?

The criminal trial after he is arrested and/our the civil trial for his wrongful termination action
This reminds me of when saddam rounded up all his rivals and had them executed
But you don't have a problem with the obvious ******* witch hunt being carried out by the Democrats, do you?
It’s not a witch hunt. Lots of indictments

Did you mind ken Starr?

You are more comfortable with a lawless Justice Department illegally attempting to remove a duly elected President because he has the wrong letter after his name?

You are sick.
If that’s what really happened. I bet that’s not what really happened though

Well, if he wanted to get the pension he should have tried to make more of a public show of support for Trump rather than, it seems, contradict the White House on occasions. Here is one example: McCabe Claims Broad Support for Comey Among FBI Employees, McCabe contradicts White House on Comey. He seemed to butt heads with the president rather than let things go and try to make the situation work. I think the situation is unfortunate but it's not completely out of the blue. Generally, you are expected to see these types of situations coming, especially with the personalities you are dealing with. It's not professional and certainly something that raises a lot of ethical and legal questions, but retaliation for speaking against someone and opposing them on occasion is not unusual.

Even if there are legal and ethical questions, I don't know the specifics about the case, but if McCabe is now expecting to file suit, litigation is extremely expensive, he's going to have to pay for it out-of-pocket, and he's going to be litigating against the US government. Unless he has a rock solid case, he would be throwing money down a well. Even if he had a rock solid case, if I didn't have to pay for this, I would take you all the way to court, so McCabe would have to front that much in terms of legal expenses on his own and then fight his case against some of the best attorneys in the country. Assuming he wanted to win, he would have to hire a really good attorney and, again, that would be extremely expensive. He could easily spend more fighting this case than he would ever get with his pension.

I'm not sure if the US Government would fire him if they didn't at least have reasonable grounds, enough to make this potentially not worth the effort of pursuing. I don't know the specifics about his legal case, but in general, if situations like this occur, it would be really unlikely that you would win. Moral of the story is to take the side which is most profitable. Maybe someone would take his case for free. But it's time consuming. Probably not what he envisioned his retirement being like...If he lost the case, there goes a lot of respect too.

Honestly, McCabe probably has a lot of options so it's probably not a big deal anyway. Honestly though, I don't understand why we all have to consider that a guy losing $60k/year of his pension is really worth talking about at this length (and apparently there are methods by which he can circumvent it too). In consideration of many larger issues in the United States, this seems a bit trivial.

Even if that were true, so what? That only means that there was a case to be made against him as well.

Why bring any more charges than are necessary to gain Flynn's cooperation? Any additional charges are held over his head to ensure continuing cooperation. Charges that could still be brought even after a pardon, btw.

Mewler-Torquemada threatened Flynn's family.

That is a no-no in civilized countries. Torquemada's KGB no doubt thrill you, but in a free society such things can not be allowed.

What do you imagine prosecutors do to flip witnesses? They use leverage to put that person in an impossible situation so their only course of action is to assist their case.

If a case against Flynn's son was used as leverage, then that only means that a case could have been made. IOW, he was a co-conspirator or committed his own crime.

"Flipping witnesses" isn't the prosecutor's job. Getting the truth is his job. Justice is his job.

Next you will tell us torture is OK if it "flips a witness."

A prosecutor can't get to the truth without cooperating witnesses, dope.

Ah, so no "prosecutor" can possibly rely on facts and evidence? Only torture and extortion are valuable tools?

This punk Torquemada is more of drug cartel shock collar than a legitimate officer of the court.

No one was tortured or extorted, dope.

Thank you President Donald J. Trump...

Draining the Swamp..

Kicking ASS and taking names...

The stench of the obongo administration runs deep…

They all have to be scared shitless…

What a great day for America……..

Isn't it Grand!!

Life is good.........

Finally the scum on the left are being held accountable.

Thank God for President Donald J. Trump…

Waiting for the scum on the right to be held accountable and it will happen.

Not with the Bull Shit you Got.......

You on the left are used to getting away with murder

while anyone on the right gets the death penalty for jaywalking.

There is a new sheriff in town..

Do you ever wonder why that might be?

I bet if you were to look objectively at it, you might just see that those on the left are usually accused of crimes that simply aren't real. At least not real in the way you've been led to believe them to be. It's a widely used tool of the right to cast aspersions on their political opponents usually without merit.

Plea bargains are part of the legal system in the U.S., you are just going to have to deal with it. If Flynn was innocent he could have gone to trial. You are making him sound like a complete *****.

Plea bargains are indeed.

Threats and assaults on family members are part of mafia tactics which violate civil rights and basic decency. You love these KGB type acts because Gen. Flynn is an enemy of the party.

BUT should Sessions start employing this type of unethical and illegal crap of McCabe to force him to roll on Obama, you will be the FIRST to decry it.
