So what was the point? We killed dozens of innocent Venezuelans to effect an arrest that will probably never result in a conviction.

They give off distinct signals that make them look like sitting targets. And MANPADs aren't something that Maduro's Cuban security guards walk around with all day. They have to be issued to them, and usually stay locked up in an arsenal.

And those vessels, fighter jets, and more than 20 Venezuelan bases spared were dormant. We didn't conduct the raid to destroy Venezuela's ability to defend itself. He's going to leave convicting Maduro to someone else (and again, given the track record of his DOJ, I suspect Maduro would have a good chance of being acquitted)

He's going to try to make a deal with Delcy, but Delcy will keep the same security apparatus that Maduro had.

And of course, he won't prop up Machado because she 'stole' his Nobel Peace Prize. (no chance of him ever getting one after this shit.)
