BREAKING: Jack Smith drops election subversion case against Trum

The alternative was not having to add that little face saving dig at the end.
And lie/mislead about the reasons for closing the case? FOR WHAT?

That makes no sense without your nutbag fantasy that this prosecutor did not belive in the merits of his own case.

Why. The mertis of the Jack Smith cases (both the espionage and election interference) no the merits warrant continuing the cases. Both the appeal of the Judge Cannon out of step dismissal appeal to the Ciricuit Court and Judge Chutkan's DC case.

The cases were NOT dropped on the merits, they were dropped because of DOJ policy.

There was never a hint of any merit to any of the prosecutions.

What "merits"?

What "merits"?
This fucking guy.

Go read the past threads and listen to Trump's own Attorney General admitting that charges against Trump are very serious.

Here are the key details of the situation (from the link you gave):

1) “The (Justice) Department’s position is that the Constitution requires that this case be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated,” Smith wrote of the election subversion case in a six-page filing with US District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, DC. “This outcome is not based on the merits or strength of the case against the defendant.”

2) Smith said he was seeking to drop the charges against the president-elect “without prejudice,” which would keep the door open for charges to be brought again in the future, calling the presidential immunity Trump will have as “temporary.”

This means he HAS TO drop the charges because the Constitution requires that "the case be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated but once the 4 years of Trump's presidency are over, he can be tried again.

This is legal mumbo-jumbo that is not indicative of innocence.

The legal warfare that has been conducted against Trump, will lose it's steam and it's motivation once the Trump presidency is over with.

Yeah, sure pal.
No?

You are saying you have some actual facts about what will be after Trump leaves office and has all these cases ready to go against him?

Prosecutors with evidence in hand, will just forget all about these historic cases? Thats what you seriously imagine?

This is the song that will become famous again in 2029. Trump will be singing it!

The Clash will return

Once again, Trump wins. Those Jan. 6 charges were bullshit anyway.

"WASHINGTON — Special counsel Jack Smith has filed a motion to drop all four felony charges against President-elect Donald Trump in connection with his effort to overturn his 2020 presidential election in the lead-up to the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S Capitol.

Trump was first indicted on four felonies in August 2023: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding and conspiracy against rights. The case was then put on hold for months as Trump’s team argued that Trump could not be prosecuted."

Expected. It's the reason Trump ran for office. It was his only way out.

Rambunctious has been right for 4 years and you have been wrong... where do you get your orders from?... MSNBC?... I hope not because that network is going out of business....
Trump crushed them....

How many years, millions of dollars, thousands of hours on on air Trump bashing bullshit have Democrats put the country through? And you can bet they are NOT DONE.
