BREAKING: Jack Smith drops election subversion case against Trum

Since the DOJ has a policy of not indicting a president, Trump gets away with crimes. But there is one court he wil not get away from and he' probably be facing that judge very soon.

Don't count your chickens just yet, you don't exactly have the best batting average around here.

And you want us to believe you don't get your marching oders sent daily?

All identical thread within minutes of each other.

Not my fault pal, I was watching TV, and a 'special report' came on.

It seems to be the expensive habit of prosecutors not to proceed until they have every last bit of possible evidence, even if they could have won a conviction in half the time with half the resources.

Just because you're old, slow, out of the loop, and didn't hear the news story doesn't mean we are too.
Yeah, sure kid. That's what happened here.

Here are the key details of the situation (from the link you gave):

1) “The (Justice) Department’s position is that the Constitution requires that this case be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated,” Smith wrote of the election subversion case in a six-page filing with US District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, DC. “This outcome is not based on the merits or strength of the case against the defendant.”

2) Smith said he was seeking to drop the charges against the president-elect “without prejudice,” which would keep the door open for charges to be brought again in the future, calling the presidential immunity Trump will have as “temporary.”

This means he HAS TO drop the charges because the Constitution requires that "the case be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated but once the 4 years of Trump's presidency are over, he can be tried again.

This is legal mumbo-jumbo that is not indicative of innocence.

Jack likely will go down as the fall guy, but frankly he was merely the weapon the demafasicst used.

He is an illegally appointed hitman

Congratulations Kojak, you solved the case. 🍪

Now if you wouldn't mind devoting some your vast investigatory acumen to locating Jimmy Hoffa, that would great.
Hey, I sent the Mythbusters to Giants stadium with ground penetrating radar and they couldn't find him. If you've got any other leads I'll get right on it.

And yet they still had to get a dig in at the end, claiming it wasn't about "the merits"
Because it wasn't.

Jack Smith had no intention of dropping the case, and specifically did so because of DOJ guidance of not prosecuting sitting presidents.

No doubt case will be re-opened once Trump gets out.

And he made sure to say it, like the good little propaganda apparatchik he is.
