Well played by House R's.

You mean the same counsel who wrote a letter to the R controlled committee requesting that Smith be allowed to testify publicly? Shouldn't you have made a resolution not to lie in the new year?
He asked that Smith be allowed to testify publicly in lieu of testifying behind closed doors. Having partisan representatives take five minute turns each makes it much easier to lie and obfuscate your way through.

If his counsel did not advise Smith to not testify at all, he is an extremely poor lawyer. From a purely legal standpoint, silence is the best strategy when asked to cooperate with people trying to convict you.

Your resolution this year should be to stop being such a cut and paste monkey. Mine is to simply cut your cut and paste and only respond to the tiny parts of your posts that appear to be your own words.

What the **** are you talking about?

Smith is eager to get the facts on the public record. The committee could have subpoenaed his testimony.

Unlike you, I like to provide factual context to my posts. I gives nitwits like yourself the opportunity to refute the facts. Not that you ever can.

Facts? Smith, himself, has testified that at least one of the witnesses that he based his case on had NO PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE as to what that witness had stated. SMFH. Don't bother you with FACTS, your mind is already made up.
