BREAKING: Columbia anti-Israel protester Mahmoud Khalil can be deported, judge rules

Gee. Actual evidence would be nice right about now.

The judge simply can't defer to the judgment of the Secretary of State on this one.

I'd like to see those reports, if you have them on hand.
I read the article. The link is posted here a few times, but here you go. Obviously you are not going to see any court documents.

Ah so it is. I missed that. The article wasn't so explicit with the language.

I stand corrected.
The court filing is included as a PDF at the bottom of the article.

The problem with your link is that in the court order in it, nothing is said about him lying. Simply that he's being removed because of Rubio deeming him

an alien is deportable from the United States if the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe that the alien's presence or activities in the United States would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States. Under INA section 237(a)(4)(C)(ii), for cases in which the basis for this determination is the alien's past, current, or expected beliefs, statements, or associations that are otherwise lawful, the Secretary of State must personally determine that the alien's presence or activities would compromise a compelling U.S. foreign policy interest.

Nothing about him lying.

That's one of the cool things about this message board, if we miss something, someone else usually spots it.
Next time it's your turn, I am counting on it

I'll do my best.
It's interesting that the initial visa application was used against him. Kind of like sending Al Capone to prison on tax evasion.
The end result is he will be sent back to his birth country. So whatever works.

Mahmoud Khalil faces deportation for his role in Columbia University campus protests against Israel

A judge has ruled that Mahmoud Khalil, a University of Columbia student accused of fomenting unrest and violence in the guise of anti Israel protests can be deported. I will note that this case is likely to be appealed and may reach the Supreme Court.

Can't see this going to the Supreme Court.

Sure, but since we are a country that values individual rights over arbitrary collective punishment, I will ask: Did he kill any Jews? It's one thing to chant "kill the Jews" in protest, and another to command a group of people to do it, and even another to do it alongside them.

Like I said, I want to see the evidence Rubio presented to the judge. I'm not necessarily convinced his case was that airtight.
He was an invited guest, here on a visa. We are not required to keep foreigners here who are disruptive, or trouble-makers, or propagandists for Islamic terrorists groups.

Actually he can. He'd have to find the SOS's judgement was unreasonable.

(i)In general
