Boycotts and browbeating of Israel: What’s changed since the last Gaza war?

Seriously, how much does Israel pay you to post this nonsense?
About the same as what you get.

File under "cat out of the bag." "Israel hires Internet soldiers," Israeli students and demobilized soldiers get paid to pretend they are just regular folks and leave pro-Israel comments online. Israeli Foreign Ministry Deputy Elan Shturman is quoted from the Israeli Occupation Magazine saying:

Quote:

“Our people will not say: ‘Hello, I am from the hasbara department of the Israeli foreign ministry and I want to tell you the following.’ Nor will they necessarily identify themselves as Israelis,” he said. “They will speak as net-surfers and as citizens, and will write responses that will look personal but will be based on a prepared list of messages that the foreign ministry developed.”

Counterpunch's Jonathan Cooke in "Israel's Internet Wars" describes:

This sums it up quite well,

"If you’ve come across a hasbarat, on-line or otherwise, you have learned that no amount of reasoned argument or intellectual maturity has any effect. That’s because hasbarats don’t care if they come across as ignorant, obnoxious, nasty or inane. All that matters for them is sabotaging criticism of Israel and support for Muslims. They're like anti-intellectual stink bombs: designed to cause maximum discomfort... "

Is that a misspelling? Shouldn't it be "Hasbarabrat"

Nah, "Hasbara-BRAT" is more their style and intellectual level, while with a "Hasbara-RAT", there's always the connotation you might catch something unpleasant off them. :D

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, but the international community sees it differently.

Go ask an Arab in Hebron if he/she feels their have equal treatment under the law.

And?

Most Palestinians aren't excited by the creation of the state of Israel, I never met one that was, whether they be Christian or Muslim. Hamas is simply the organic manifestation of what happens when passivity is longer an option.

Again, Aziz Duweik said Hamas would be willing to acknowledge Israel's right to exist.

The Palestinians, like the Israelis, have a right to their own land. They're a legitimate people and are entitled to statehood.

I don't give a shit what you do, I don't live there, but you could ease up with the deer in the headlights routine. I also find it ironic your avatar is a Magen David drenched in blood.

80% of Hebron is under PA control. Besides, Hebron is the birthplace of Judaism, where our fathers and mothers are buried. Jews can live anywhere in the world but not in the place where Judaism was born? Doesn't make sense to me.

Do you support the right of Palestinians for statehood? Btw, don't pull the Jew card with the bullshit. I'm an American Jew that finds the actions of Israel both nauseating and embarrassing considering what happened not so long ago. Grab a card and get in line, as if suffering is unique to Jews. I've studied Benny Morris, and historians on the Israeli right, I find it ******* embarrassing for all Jews.

You brought up the subject of Hebron, and I was addressing it. When Israel first captured Hebron in 1967, no Jews were permitted to live in that city, which was the birthplace of Judaism. So the Jews built a nearby settlement called Kiryat Arba. But the Arabs couldn't contain themselves and they killed 6 Yeshiva students in 1980, who were praying at the Tomb of Abraham. After that, to "pay back" the Arabs, so to speak, Jews were once again allowed to live in that ancient city. The Arabs could've had it all to themselves if they had just contained themselves. And Jews had always lived in Hebron until 1929, when the Arabs savagely killed 67 Jews and drove the rest out. Anyway, like I said before, the PA received 80% of Hebron, and that's more than enough.

CIAR is such a splendid example of course!!
Since ******* when AIPAC is a terrorist organization?

How much blood can you drip that Magen David in? I'm curious, how much is enough? Do we kill all Arabs or just the ones on your block? I bet you're a Yekke that's upset over some trivial shit.

You're one nasty hater.

Clearly....:cuckoo:

I not the one wishing wholesale death on an entire population. I've read though some of the threads, you people are insane.

Indeed. I don't need a history lesson, been there, done that. The international community considers Kiryat Arba - and all other settlements - illegal under international law. They're a violation of the Geneva Convention for starters.

Do you support settlements? This section of the message board reminds me of a Meir Kahane get together in Borough Park.

Oh yeah, how many Palestians were "savagely killed" under Plan Dalet? Since we're talking numbers, and quantifying death, I'll give you a chance to come up with a number.

No one on this forum has wished the death of an entire population.

I've not seen anyone posting on this forum who fits that description.

So Kimura, how has life been in S'derot for the last few years?

Shitty....but still orders of magnitude better than if you find yourself in Gaza.

You're a pretty bright guy and you have a real mastery of history when it comes to economics.
Why does your history suck so much when it comes to Israel/Aza?

How many Israelis have died from rocket attacks since 2001?

How many Gazans have died from Israeli military operations since 2001?

This is a fairly simply mathematical exercise which will demonstrate the disproportionate use of force.

As I have asked several times in the last 3 weeks...
Are you stating that attempted murder is not a crime?
By the way, NO ONE has the balls to reply to this question...will YOU?

Wanna dead jews?

It's their palistanian occupation.

Only an excercise in driveling demonstrates that. No math's involved, of course

Of course attempted murder is crime, as long as one can prove mens rea.

Thanks for answering my questions, though.
