It's getting pretty obvious.
None of these games matter and it's clear that all of the favored teams are getting screwed by the refs.

The worst example of it was the Tennessee vs Purdue game.
They erased a TN touchdown because the ref called forward progress....even though the whistle didn't blow till after TN's runner put the ball over the goal line.

It was pathetic even before that because they wouldn't allow TN's DBs the right to cover Purdue's WRs without calling pass-interference on nearly every play.

The rule says as long as the player is churning his legs he's not stopped....not until the whistle is blown to stop play.
But they didn't blow the whistle till after he scored.
Doesn't matter....the crooked refs from the ACC screwed the SEC by calling it down on the one yard line.

A side note......this same crew was suspended for 2 games for several 'mistakes' they made during a Duke vs Miami game.

I saw an OBVIOUS instance of "Targeting" yesterday by a Cincinnati player. That's not to say the guy intended to go helmet to helmet but it did happen and put a Bama player out for a few plays. In fact, he was lucky not to have a concussion. There was no flag on the play to even take a second look and I've seen several instances of "targeting" that were nowhere near as obvious during the regular season. Bama has had a couple of players benched for them. I don't mind refs calling penalties "loosely" regarding pass interference or say, hitting a player out of bounds - so long as they give the same latitude to BOTH teams.

The pass-interference rule says the defensive player cannot be engaged with the receiver unless he is looking at the ball in flight or looking at the QB. This isn't even a judgement call. That's the rule. Yet I see them letting it slide for teams like OSU and Purdue....even allow the DB to wrap their arms around receivers while the ball is in the air....depending on who is doing what.

Usually the favored team is getting screwed on calls. When it comes to the favored team....they can't even touch the receiver without drawing the flag. Ohio State got screwed on one when the DB was just running with the receiver with both hands tight to his own body and the receiver was the one pushing him away.....and the defender got called for pass-interference after the play. Couple of plays later Utah goes up 14-0.
Total horseshit.

Had to laugh at the Sun Bowl in El Paso. WSU was supposed to play FL, but FL didn't meet covid protocols at the last minute. The game was almost cancelled but they came up with an alternative team--unrated MI. Long story short, WSU lost, partially because the woke program director fired their coach for not getting vaxxed. Serves them right. College sports are a joke anyway. Serves no academic purpose.

I'm glad Central Michigan beat them.
