Opinions on this Judo maneuver.

Seems like you can literally twist a dolt's arm out of its socket doing that, to the point that it's only left hanging onto his body.

Personally I find it all barbaric. I'd just as soon shoot an attacker and be on about my business, ainobody got no time for dancing around doing judo moves and whatnot. Wrinkling up your clothes and stuff? pft. Please. I got places to be.

It's banned in competition for safety reasons. Shouldn't there be some onus on people posting this sort of question to at least make an attempt to find an answer?
I'll stop short of providing the specific answer that's related to safety.
There are a lot more dangerous holds used that are legal.

A referee stated it causes the opponent to fall on his head.
So I would imagine ones neck could easily be broken that way.

I don't know anything about this sport, but I would assume that it's got nothing BUT dangerous maneuvers in it.

I personally think it's ludicrous and moronic to have rules on violent/deadly sports.
I mean, if you want to beat the shit out of each other for a few bucks, then just let them go at it.....
