Bought a new cell phone and the updates took up all the memory

I bought a new cell phone and I only bought one free app and the phone reports I am running out of room.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I uninstalled a few apps bringing my phone's apps back to the original size in my phone and after restoring the apps back to the factory's settings, I saved 240 Megabytes.

i use one of those pay as you go phones.i can use internet if i want but only use it for emergency when i'm out and about.

you need a bigger phone.

I thought about that but if I got a bigger phone, there would be programmers trying to fill it up because it would have bigger capabilities and bigger things require more programming or more memory to run. It is kind of like Windows. The more powerful the computer gets, the larger the programs get and there is bloat but I'm not trying to start a Windows rant.
