All that will cost tax dollars. We are already supposedly in debt. The wish list will have trouble getting support. Perhaps 30 or 50 years down the road things will change.

A lot of that can be fixed by a twofold stance of controlling spending (no more tax dollars for domestic illegal aliens and competing foreign businesses) and increased economic activity especially among small businesses and exporters of goods.

Supporting big businesses never works. And keeping their hands out of the small business cookie jar will help even more.

Just about every farm is a small business. Just a few people can successfully farm over a 10,000 acre farm. (Depending on crop)

And they could use a boost.

The unspoken "problem" is that the women who ARE having children are not the ones that one would prefer. It was my choice to have him. We planned it. Surprise pregnancies are irresponsible. We werent kooky about it and didny buy into the "be open to creating life" weirdness mantra. Not only that, i had him at the age of 33. Its called being responsible. Planning. We were married for 10 years before having our first child. That gave us time to build up financial security. Starting out from scratch together and adding more mouths to feed immediately is frankly a wrong idea.
Were i a young person in todays america i very well might have not had any kids. Hard to say.

I'm a bit different,
I enjoy life's challenges....all of them. Especially now that I really don't have as many to overcome as I used to.
There's something about not knowing if you are doing right or wrong while struggling but doing the best you can and hoping for the best....
That's life....that's what makes the highs higher...the lows lower and more desperate at the same time. Where you cry out to your Maker in the middle of the night while you have been awake and unable to sleep.

That is living...that's a real but normal life. Yes, please....can I have some more?

We, the average normal boring people, can have and create a legacy for ourselves . Not by great deeds or extreme wealth. But by having our natural influence on children we helped procreate and raise. It can be positive or negative....all up to us by the decisions we make and attitudes we hold. We can live on way past our expiration date in our children's and grandchildren....possibly great grandchildren lives....maybe even 4 generations.....it just depends upon our ability to create positive or negative relationships. Something completely within our control that doesn't require money or anything other than an ability to love.

It's only hard for you to say, because the answer is NO and that proves my point, that your son lost out.

You lost out too. I'm sorry you have no grandchild from your son.


I have a child too. I am looking at similar finiancial issues. My obligation to my child might require me to work longer.

If I magically had the option of deleting her from reality, and suddenly having my financial situation improve dramaticaly,

I would NOT.


Both of us agree that our child is worth that our children have been worth the effort.


I want others to share my joy. To not pass up on one of life's greatest joys.

We have a real problem in most of the industrialized world.

Birth rates for women.

Currently we need a 2.7 live births per woman in the USA (or any nation in reality) to achieve stable populations. Meaning we aren't getting more crowded but we aren't going extinct either.

Currently we have a 1.7 birth rate for women.

Meaning every woman capable need to plan on having three children minimum....likely more.

How do we think this concept (a reality) is going to play out in the USA?

Children of liberals use many more government services than conservatives.
From foster children to children born with defects from mothers chemical dependency....oh yes, their children use a LOT of welfare.

For at least a while, adults did not receive welfare....only children received welfare. Where the government couldnt sterilize anyone...they strongly encouraged depo shots and norplants. (3rd and 4th gen welfare families)

Conservatives live meagerly but sufficiently. Tend to not subscribe for government services even if entitled by income or circumstances. Again these are tendencies and not absolutes.

Older parents over 25 will produce more stable children. They will have more life experience, maturity and finances. @5 to 30 is ideal

Older partens over 25 will produce FEWER children as their peak fertility is already gone.

It is also worth noting that a long period of promiscuity, will have many issues, from increased body counts, to higher rates of STDS, to higher rates of divorce, blended families, single motherhood, ect. ect. ect.
