Only two explanations I can think of for this. 1) There was something going on behind the scenes between Hopkins and O'Brien we didn't know about. 2) O'Brien is fancying himself as the Belichick of Texas trying to do the salary cap thing.

I'm more upset at not getting more for one of the top 5 receivers in the game. Trading him is one thing; not getting anything for him is another. Shockingly bad trade. It makes me miss Gary Kubiak and his Denny's Menu.
