That crap played a big role in 2016, it's still playing a big role, and the party still refuses to see it.

Maher is just beginning to realize that something is very wrong. He will put it together. The democrats have split up into democrats and socialist democrats.

Maher cloaks a lot of his concern in laughs and while I agree some of the younger guns in the Democratic party can't..or won't see the bigger picture, I have to remember that this is exactly how Republicans and conservatives operate. They know the sweet spot for their base and the weakness of the left are social wedge issues. They're kneejerk issues. Abortion, race relations (along with voter suppression), marriage, LGBTQ issues. They know their good God fearing, red blooded base will recoil in horror and the those pinko lefties will react with "wokeness" (a term by the way that went out in 2016). One side, set against the other. Meanwhile, real issues that need addressing like the tax system, healthcare, the environment, energy policy, and infrastructure fall by the wayside. And nothing changes.

this country is a lot better than it was sixty years ago, mainly because of activism in the sixties. Just remember what the country was like in the 1960s. Federal funded housing was denied by law to African Americans, not because the liberal senators wanted that, but because you couldn’t get anything through the Southern Democratic stranglehold on policy. There were anti-sodomy laws into this century. Lots of things have changed.

We have progressed, now liberals are the new bullies and 4%( gays) and blacks (14%) dictate the new "norms". This is progress? (sucking air in-between clenched teeth), with sarcastic "Yeah, right". 75% of American populace is white heterosexual. And the broken legacy media continually lies and lambastes straights, whites and anyone that contradicts them. China bans critics of the system. Most American media outlets are owned by China. We can't question they are major exporters of pharmaceuticals (fentanyl for instance...we will circle back to that) or financed certain democrats...Chapter 2 is coming up.

Chapter 1) George Floyd's opioid addiction: Floyd overdosed a few weeks before his fatal interaction. The only verifiable crime Deric Chauvin committed, was he didn't have the foresight and second-guess Floyd needed Narcan and not knee on his back. Homicide? We all know that that this Minneapolis politicians throwing a cop under the bus to placate the irrational mob...that should bother everyone.
