One of Trump's primary weaknesses, especially in his first term, was not being a professional politician. He brought enormous skill and talent to the job, but he was far too dependent on others to advise him on some key appointments. And because he inadvertently trusted a lot of weasels--people like Chris Christie and John Bolton--he got some really bad advice. That is why there was so much turnover in his first term as the bad actors revealed themselves and were replaced one by one.I know, at first he made comments about cameras and guards sleeping, etc...... then years later a lot of what he said didn't jibe.
This time so far he has demonstrated that he learned those lesson well and is much more savvy and careful in the people he is putting in important positions. And I'm sure he is much more aware to look for and identify the moles the deep state plants as spies to undermine him.
He'll still make some mistakes. Who doesn't? But so far I'm happy in the way it has been going.
