Biden’s doctor refuses to answer questions at closed door interview

Former White House physician Kevin O’Connor pleaded the Fifth Amendment multiple times during his closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., subpoenaed O’Connor to testify regarding his alleged involvement in covering up former President Joe Biden’s health and the use of a presidential autopen while in office. The expected hourlong deposition concluded quickly after O’Connor refused to provide any answers.

“I’m going to read the first two questions that were asked. ‘Were you ever told to lie about the president’s health?’ He pleaded the Fifth Amendment. He would not answer that question. The second question, ‘Did you ever believe President Biden was unfit to execute his duty?’” Comer stated to reporters, according to Fox News. “Again, President Biden’s White House physician pleaded the Fifth. This is unprecedented, and I think that this adds more fuel to the fire that there was a cover-up.”

This doctor perpetrated a fraud on the American People, for sure.
But he wasn't instrumental.
Give him immunity -
Get to the truth, or lock him up for contempt of Congress
Plenty of recent precedent for that.
(of course, the Republicans never play serious hard ball with these people)

He's screwed. He either lied about Biden's multiple health issues, or he's so incompetent he missed them completely. Either way, his medical career is over.

If a "doctor" fails to diagnose, or even test, an 80+ year old patient for cancer and cognitive impairment, he's not capable of doing the job of a physician.

I don't think that "quack" is the right word.

I suspect that he can doctor fine, when not covering for The Resident.

Anyone paying attention knows

The entire thing is a huge fraud and citizens suffered

Anyone with a lick of sense knows Biden's brain was tapioca
And I don't need his doctor to tell me so.

Thing is that the whole thing does not sit well with most folks with any sense about them. The gop is not doing themselves ant favors by beating what amounts to a soon to be dead horse.

There is no precedent for a doctor to be compelled to release medical info on a patient.

You are treading on new ground as far as the law goes.

They're exposing the obvious.

As they should

Neither of these require a release of medical records.

I'll be honest, if I were in his shoes I would take the 5th on every question. There is no benefit to him, only harm as there are people who will look for any discrepancy to hurt him.

Now, if the GOP were TRULY interested in accountability, they would have the DOJ negotiate an immunity deal in exchange for the truth. Even a reward for speaking the truth without fear of reprisals.

They won't though, because it's all a dog and pony show isn't it? Do they REALLY want the truth? When 80% of the career politicians on both sides despise Trump?

Now, some questions are going to hurt the Dems when he takes the 5th, such as, "did anyone tell you to cover up Bidens health issues"? However, unless he names names, there won't be much value for America or their Party. They should want steak not sizzle.

The GOP could ask many similarly formulated questions and once he takes the 5th, they just repeat this in attack ads in the future but other than that, unless they negotiate and he can explain that he was under duress to protect Bidens team, they won't get much of consequence out of this and neither will Americans.

His medical career would be over, if he revealed a patient’s details without their consent. Refusal to answer isn’t an indication of any failure. He was following professional ethics, something Trump/MAGA don’t understand.

He could have answered those questions without jeopardizing doctor/patient confidentiality.

His medical career is probably over now.

The thing is, the questions stated in the OP had nothing to do with releasing personal medical information.

You're so stupid that you don't realize that the Epstein story was released right ahead of testimony by Biden's Doctor to cover it up, not the other way around.
You’re doing it right now, trying to divert attention from a pedo and his connection to Trump.
