The doctor is obviously taking the 5th because there was something big he covered up on Joe that if found out would be earth-shattering as to the depth of democrat corruption and this doctor is right in the thick of it otherwise, he would have recused himself and left being Biden's doctor.

   A psychiatrist was held in contempt for refusing to release mental health records in a homicide case. The court ruled that the need for justice overrode the privilege.

So it can happen, and there are other cases. But, government can file contempt charges and turn him over to the DOJ.

At that point he will stick with the 5th and they will just set themselves up for civil lawsuits worth in the millions.
