Taxes have been jacked up for the amount of women in the workplace and where many have to work even in two parent families. Fiat currency printed out of the wazoo with homes priced artificially higher and used as investments or for flipping that really does not create a lot of high paying jobs. Interest rates are even kept artificially low as we run our financial system like other nations who have collapsed. But we are still seen as a top location for safety by domestic and foreign investors and that is our only saving grace. I understand social justice. There are many negatives that will eventually destroy the nation from it though. We have lost unalienable rights which can not be said enough and few pay attention to.

If two get together to have children together, they must be a partnership with an agreement that they both raise the children and that each has the resources to separate if the other renegs on the agreement or becomes aggressive. The one who goes out in society to earn money to sustain the household has a distinct advantage over the one who stays in the house to care for the couple's children. What happens if the partner who is the money-earner is the one who abandons the partner and cheats.

A heterosexual marriage does not need a 3rd party to procreate that is one difference and paying for that which nature does not support can limit incomes. Many factors can affect the housing Market. Interest rates, local supply and demand, adverse environmental factors, cost of building materials, etc. and even higher fuel prices.
