If we were Burmese citizens, you may have a point. Since we are not then it doesn't matter. The US government has had its part in military takeovers of other countries. Is the US now treasonous?

It's bad in those cases as well. But treason with regard to someone trying to implement it here.

I am not claiming treason by any stretch is good here in the US, however there are cases throughout history where treason was to the benefit of the majority to overcome oppression.
