Biden & Staff Just Reached New Height in Cluelessness

Tell us Protectionist what your savior would have done differently.
He would have pulled out all Americans, friendly, vetted Afghans, and US military equipment BEFORE removing US troops. He would not have removed the troops first, leaving thousands of Americans stranded there, and $85 Billion of US equipment behind, to be confiscated by the Taliban, as bonehead Biden just did.

He also would never have allowed tens of thousands of UNVETTED, UNDOCUMENTED Afghans come pouring into the US, ushering in what is likely to be a whole new era of terrorism on US soil, as many of these migrants are likely to be Taliban friends, if not Talibans themselves. Some of them could be members of ISIS or Al Qaeda also. Biden is America's worst enemy.

Note: When I use the term "Bidens", I'm referring to Joe Biden and his administration members dealing with foreign policy, not necessarily people whose last name is Biden.

Yesterday, 2 members of Joe Biden's staff went on the Sunday morning MSM political TV shows, and talked about Afghanistan. They should have gone golfing. Jake Sullivan and Antony Blinken both were asked the obvious question >> "How are you going to deal with hundreds of Americans, thousands of friendly Afghans, and tens of Billions$ in equipment being left behind, if all the US troops are withdrawn on September 1st ?"

Both of them replied the same way. They said they will use diplomacy with the Taliban, backed up by "LEVERAGE". And what does this alleged "leverage" consist of in the minds of the Bidens ? They claimed there would be 2 things : international community recognition......and........economic pressure in Billions of $$$.

EARTH TO BIDENS:

1. The Taliban are uncivilized, barbaric, savages. Barbarians don't care about what the international community thinks of them. They have about as much concern for that, as a pack of wild dogs.

2. To think that the Taliban is going to be pressured economically by the Bidens, is almost equally laughable. The Taliban is now a very wealthy organization. They are now the # 1 arms dealer in the world, with $83 Billion of top notch, US military equipment. They make huge amounts if money in the illegal drug trade. Most of all, they recently have become the owners of the richest mining interests in the world.

The Chinese have already been meeting with them with regard to Afghanistan's FORTUNE in rare earth minerals, notably lithium, which the wealthy Chinese need, in the manufacture of electric cars, cell phones, television sets, laptops, etc.

3. The Taliban are Islamic fanatics. Cracking the shell of their Koran-based ideology is about impossible.

So much for "leverage". There is one thing that the US does possess which can be leverage over the Taliban. Military might, and Joe is cancelling that out right at this moment.

I knew a week or so ago that this was not going to end well, when I hear Blinken talking about negotiations, economic pressure, and diplomacy. Not once was the word military mentioned in his discussion.

Later this week, I fear that we are going to see the disastrous results of this foreign policy cluelessness, when the Taliban have American citizens, friendly Afghans, and Billions of $$ of military hardware in their control, and no US troops there to exert actual "leverage". Horrendous hostage situation made-to-order for the Taliban.

Anther example of how Democrats cannot be trusted to handle anything dealing with the military, guns, or law enforcement. New height in cluelessness.
Your dejection shows a shortage of the billions in gold in the US that belongs to Afghanistan and the hundreds of millions of funds held by the IMF.

Yet, in four years he managed to only withdraw thousands of troops but not the civilians, sounds like another fubar situation waiting to happen and it was.

Smokin' OP says he disagrees with this OP. Yeah ?

So maybe you'd like to tell us WHAT you disagree with Smokin OP. You think the Bidens have some kind of "LEVERAGE" over the Taliban, do you ? If so, let's hear it.

So, why did your dear leader cut a deal with them?

The deal laid out an explicit timetable for the United States and NATO to pull out their forces: In the first 100 days or so, they would reduce troops from 14,000 to 8,600 and leave five military bases. Over the next nine months, they would vacate all the rest. “The United States, its allies, and the Coalition will complete withdrawal of all remaining forces from Afghanistan within the remaining nine and a half (9.5) months,” the deal reads. “The United States, its allies, and the Coalition will withdraw all their forces from remaining bases.”

The United States would release 5,000 Taliban prisoners; the Taliban would release 1,000 of its prisoners.

Overall, it was a pretty good deal for the Taliban, critics said. “Trump all but assured the future course of events would reflect the Taliban’s interests far more than the United States,” Miller writes. H.R. McMaster, Trump’s second national security adviser, has recently called it “a surrender agreement with the Taliban.” Another member of Trump’s National Security Council said it was “a very weak agreement.”

Before the peace talks really got going, Trump had already started withdrawing thousands of troops, and he fired his defense secretary, Esper, after he wrote a memo disagreeing. (Esper later said that Trump’s withdrawing too many troops too soon contributed to what we see now in Afghanistan.)

When Biden took over, there were just 3,500 U.S. troops left in the country.

Regardless, the facts as they are constitute the Taliban as too wealthy to be coerced by money withholding. We in the US care (or at least we should) more about the large number of Americans still stranded in Afghanistan, and in danger, than the Taliban care about money.

Just the rare earth minerals deals they are making with the wealthy Chinese will cover them financially for many years in the future. Money is the least of their worries. People is the most of our worries.

Who are these people you claim were left, what are their names, how many were left and why were they there? Does yer echo chamber have that info you have repeated all month?

I disagree with Trump's withdrawl, but Trump wasn't the president after Jan. 20, 2021. Biden had plenty of time to remove Americans, friendly, vetted Afghans, and $83 Billion of US military equipment. He did none of those things, while bragging that the Afghan troops were 300,000 strong and more powerful than the Taliban.

Esper is nothing but a disgruntled fired employee jerk who deserved what he got.

Biden has shown that he and his advisers are a pack of idiots, who have no business being in the White House.

Have you not been following the news ? It is the Biden administration who has done the claiming. Just a few days ago, they claimed there were 10,000 Americans still left in Afghanistan. Now, they claim they have evacuated 5,400. Do the math.

As for WHO they are, how the hell would I know who they are ? What am I ? An Afghanistan census taker ?

We have $7.5 billion of their $$$.
They can't survive on their own, even N. Korea trades with China and Russia.
The World Bank, has $15.5 billion ready to invest (loan) but has put that on hold.
The IMF has $9 billion also blocked.
The EU has $2 billion ready to invest, also on hold.

Almost $35 billion is a great motivator, and the US does have influence on all of them.

Yet, they are no different than any other administration.
Yes they are. No other administration was ever dumb enough to withdraw ALL US troops while thousands of Americans were still there, with then no security, and an organization of uncivilized barbarians all set to annihilate them.

And dumb enough to allow $83 Billion of US equipment to fall directly into the hands of those barbaric savages. Sheeeesh!

One thing for certain, no other country will trust the US anytime in the near future. Taiwan, Ukraine and Hong Kong have no illusions of help coming from the US. Our word doesn't mean shit on the international scene any more and it was Biden and his defective party cronies that made that happen. Joe must go.

Trump made the deal and refused to withdraw civilians before the troops also, but you let him slide on any responsibility.

:puhleeze:You are as clueless as the Bidens are. Maybe they'll hire you on to work with them.

Everything you just said, was refuted in the OP, and Post # 26. Ho hum.

Reagan didn't lose support when he was bombing countries without allied support.

Your dear leader had 10 months and didn't remove ONE piece of equipment, civilian or on employee of the US embassy.
If the orange retard, knew the Taliban were so weak, why did he agree to reduce troop levels by over 10,000?

Trump made the deal and refused to withdraw civilians before the troops also, but you let him slide on any responsibility.
No I don't. I have never supported his Doha actions. I have repeatedly DENOUNCED his decision to withdraw. You don't know what you're talking about.
