I watched some of it for the amusement. There is only so much of Bernie's commie bullshit that anybody can stand to listen to and Biden is a jerk and a clown. If Biden has so many good answers why the hell didn't he tell Obama during the worst administration this country ever had?

Those CNN moderators should be ashamed. I didn't see them ask any of the really good questions that should have been asked. Like grilling Biden on his family corruption or his terrible record as VP and demanding to know how Bernie is going to deal with failed socialist economy that will result from his ridiculous programs.

No wonder the Democrats didn't want Fox to moderate any of their debates.

If that is the best the Party of Moon Bats have then they will deserve to lose by a landslide to Trump.

Joe Biden is an idiot but I will have to admit that he got one thing right. He actually pointed out how a single-payer healthcare system is a failure, and mentioned how it was failing in Italy right now.

That should be proclaimed from the rooftops.

Yea but his alternative plan is to do an enhanced Obamacare and we all know what a disaster that will be after the first disaster. I heard the asshole talk about even more subsidies. How can anybody be that stupid?

Those Moderators should have challenged Idiot Joe on how Obamacare ran up premiums, co payments and deductibles for the paying customers just so the shithead welfare queens could get their filthy subsidies. But they didn't.

That was an ironic statement. You, a Democrat, admitting that it's a stupid waste of time to watch a Democratic debate.

:lmao:

Im not a democrat stupid.
Who you voting for

One of those two relics
Not a dem but waiting in line to be told who to vote for LOL

Actually I’m sitting in my living room. If the Greens or Libertarians had a candidate with a shot of winning, I’d be voting for them. I can’t support the lying whoremonger that you worship fuck face
Trump? I dont support Trump. Hell, I wrote in a Democrat in 2016. You are just angry im not a partisan shithead like you.

Agreed. I just thought it curious how he pointed that out.

Actually, the debate was very interesting. I was rather surprised how sharp Biden was. I expected him to show incompetence, but he was in full control of himself and showed he can still think clearly and argue effectively. Not that I agree with mainstream DNC politics, but I have to give him his due.

Bernie Sanders hit him hard talking about the structural problems of our society and the need to -- really -- "drain the swamp" of big money interests that have in every area hurt working people and destroyed genuine government of, by, and for the people. Without a live audience and being just the two of them it was much the best debate of all, as they addressed aggressively each other's programs and were forced to answer each other's criticisms directly.

A lot of attention was paid to the Covid-19 crisis, which young folks tend to not take seriously. So did Trump, until recently. It is deadly serious for us older folks, the very rich and powerful and the unprotected poor alike. Serious for our hospitals and medical personnel. And it is the immediate trigger for real cascading destruction of our economy, which was so artificially inflated before that it is now collapsing like a punctured balloon. There are no quick answers here. We are going to pay a very high price for our lack of preparation and arrogance. The "underlying economy" was never strong but always based on artificially created money and credit creation.

I was sad that so little attention was paid to international matters (like our endless war in the Gulf), except in terms of Coronavirus. Bernie handled the phoney accusations against him in regard to Castro and dictators very well and rationally, something sorely missing on the right.

All in all a substantial debate.

I found Biden's references to N1H1 and Jack the Ripper amusing...

He doesnt even know what virus epidemic we have and he showed full competence? Lol
You must have a very low bar for him

Neither did Trump. He said the media's policitalization of the virus and his handling was a hoax.
And for all their screaming about Trump lying it is our bitter, "gimme free stuff" leftards who always feel compelled to lie because the truth just doesn't express their seething hatred … not even close.
Demoncraps are a disease.
Leftism is their disease and they are a far more clear & present danger than any old virus from Wuhan. It eats brains and we saw the end result in last night's Dem debate ... Biden is loony-left and Bernie is loony-leftier.

I did have a low expectation of Biden, TNHarley. I was shocked by his competence and composure under fire. That once he used the word "SARS," when he meant "Covid-19," and then immediately corrected himself, is utterly insignificant. That you highlight that nothing slip shows you really did not watch the whole debate or are just taking a cheap partisan shot.

Also, the "poll" at the beginning of this thread is absurd. The third choice -- they both lost the debate, only Trump won -- should be balanced by a fourth, something like "They both looked good, only Trump lost."

I guess we have different viewpoints. To me Biden sounded like an idiot. He has a life of failure and he points to those failures as though they were successes and those asshole CNN reporters didn't challenge him on his record. Then the fact he is corrupt as the day is long.

They both sounded like idiots.

It's all relative. Biden was as sharp and prepared as I've seen him in years. Comrade Bernie was typically Comrade Bernie, gesticulating wildly while proclaiming "eat the rich!!!"

And if neither moved the needle with undecided and swayable gen election voters - and I doubt most were watching - then Trump won by default.

All I'm saying here is that Biden, in your own words, was "as sharp and as prepared as I've seen him in years." He could retrogress. Like Trump, he is a really old guy, after all. I don't like Biden particularly. Never have. But I despise Trump, who IMO is not only old and incompetent, but also a narcissistic magalomaniac. If Biden is the Democratic candidate, considering the alternative of Trump, I will seriously consider voting Democratic for President for only the 2nd time since Vietnam War days.

P.S. Bernie never said "eat the rich."

An objective working person who listened to the three (Trump, Biden and Sanders) might very well see "Bernie" as their best choice; least likely to send their children to war, most likely to help them get an education and proper health care.
The most disappointing thing is that we have only the duopoly that presents candidates people will vote for. The American electorate has really poor levels of expectation and involvement. More choice is necessary, but not enough people interest themselves enough for more to emerge.
It will not matter which of these "old guys" continues as head of the binary party after November.

I agree. That was my position in the "choice" we were given between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in 2016. I couldn't stomach voting for either, and I don't think I was wrong in opposing both. I am an "independent" and would vote for either Warren or Bernie. Not that I believe Bernie can win, or that Bernie as President could pass much through Congress. The Establishment would go all out to crucify him, though the collapse of Wall Street may actually give his message a much wider resonance in the next period. "Capitalist to my bones" Warren has lots of good ideas and would compromise more. Unfortunately she would probably be as reactionary as Biden and Trump on many key international questions.

Very close to my sentiments. Warren just doesn't have much dynamism, but has a 'good heart', which in Washington counts for little (see Jimmy Carter). Those who voted for the Iraq debacle also voted themselves off the list of those qualified for my vote (see Clinton and Biden). Sanders' dialog is tiresomely resonant with thirties' socialist verbiage, but he hits closer to truth and what is necessary than the others who were in the race. All the "identity politics" personalities were mere chaff in the way of serious debate. What is needed is deep down, fundamental economic re-evaluation linked with Congressional overhaul. The essentially functional Constitution has proven insufficient to assure honest government. We need courage, vision and modesty. That combination in today's America seems hopeless. Still, this nation has pulled some wonderful surprises.

Bernie is talking about a rise in authoritarianism when he is the biggest authoritarian running.
Joe is talking about "his" movement when it only happened because the DNC kicked out pete and Amy.
Both these guys are fucking STUPID.

You're the one wasting time watching it. You can't call anyone else stupid.

the fact that you were shocked by his competence shows there is a problem..... can he stay focused when Trump hammers him mercilessly ?

The President of France just announced that they are doing all the things Sanders talked about that should be put into effect. People and businesses will be able to maintain so that the economy recovers immediately after the crisis. It only makes sense.
