I expect no perfection. I expect the movement in the direction he spoke though. A good movement. He knows that isn't true. He can do whatever he wishes and MAGA will fall in line.

That was indeed an error for the Republicans. I did not remember Reagan being in the mix in '76. Keeping him out, could have been protecting Reagan for later. Nobody trusted Ford, hand pick by Nixon, most likely to pardon and protect him after leaving office, officially closing the Watergate affair. Nobody was too trusting of Republican at national level. I did one of my split ticket decisions, that year, Carter for President, but Lamar Alexander for Governor of Tennessee. That was the year it became public knowledge Democrat Governor Ray Blanton was doing political favors for friends and key party people, as well as personally selling State Liquor Licenses and Pardons for state crimes. Voting Lamar was the right move. They actually had to swear him into office early, due to the Pardons for money, that were slated to be signed on a day or so before inauguration day. I voted for Lamar, forever after, no matte what office he ran for. Not a committed Republican, but committed to supporting a good man with the best interests for my state.Reagan was the rightful Republican candidate for the 1976 election. It was stolen from him. He was better than the Democrat who would be Carter. The establishment Republicans stayed with Ford.
The country wasn’t locked down for four yearsLOL. You will claim things are better that really aren't. MAGA goes on and on about lower priced gas under Trump but never mentions it was because the country was locked down.
Why did you support it??See, rants. Nothing more than rants. I supported the moratorium on funding of Gain of Function. It was the Trump administration that lifted the funding halt.
You completely ignore what happened.

Of course i supported people taking care of themselves…still do
But why did you support not funding scientific research?
You said you supported not funding it, then…why? Sayijg because of Covid pandemic after the fact isn’t the same as saying you supported it beforeWe saw the reason why. We were doing it in China because no one wanted to risk doing it here. Unlike the claims of others, I actually believe all involved do need help accountable but we won't.

And we do gain of function research in the United States.
Biden was a weak character so it was bound to happen. He only did and implemented what he was told to do.Well if that ain't a kick is the ass for Kamala Harris. His doctors must have taken him off his Adderall prescription and put him on Hopium.
Does anyone but Joe really believe he could have beaten Trump?
Biden reportedly regrets ending re-election campaign and says he’d have defeated Trump
President also regrets picking Merrick Garland for attorney general, as he was slow to prosecute Trump for January 6
"Joe Biden regrets having pulled out of this year’s presidential race and believes he would have defeated Donald Trump in last month’s election – despite negative poll indications, White House sources have said.
The US president has reportedly also said he made a mistake in choosing Merrick Garland as attorney general – reflecting that Garland, a former US appeals court judge, was slow to prosecute Donald Trump for his role in the 6 January 2021 insurrection while presiding over a justice department that aggressively prosecuted Biden’s son Hunter.
With just more than three weeks of his single-term presidency remaining, Biden’s reported rueful reflections are revealed in a Washington Post profile that contains the clearest signs yet that he thinks he erred in withdrawing his candidacy in July after a woeful debate performance against his rival for the White House, Trump, the previous month.
The president stepped aside – to be replaced as his party’s nominee by the US vice-president, Kamala Harris – after mounting pressure from fellow Democrats, who cited polling evidence that appeared to show him heading for a near-certain election drubbing from Trump, who was seeking a historic return to the White House as the Republicans’ nominee.
Harris’s ascent to the top of the ticket led to a surge of enthusiasm and improved poll numbers but ultimately ended in a decisive electoral college and popular vote defeat.
While Biden and his aides have been careful not to blame Harris, they apparently believe the result would have been different if he had stood his ground, according to the Washington Post’s reporting.
It is a view disputed by many Harris supporters, who blame the president for waiting too long before withdrawing, thus leaving the vice-president with little time to mount an effective campaign."

Why don’t you answer my question instead of dodging? This was sent to China because we didn't want to do it here.
Why don’t you answer my question instead of dodging?
Also we weren’t funding this, according to Dr Fauci
So why do you not supporting the Gov t funding scientific research?
So why didn’t you before the pandemic not support it?We saw the reason why I did not and do not support the funding of this.
Feds lift gain-of-function research pause, offer guidance
So why didn’t you before the pandemic not support it?![]()
So you don’t support govt funding science because a pandemic might happen?I can only answer your question so many times.
So you don’t support govt funding science because a pandemic might happen?
What about all the pandemics that happened prior to the US Govt even existing? Or the ones like the recent one where our funding had nothing to do with it?
I have no problem with him doing it. I think the govt should help fund scienceYou are simply trying to make excuses for Trump re-starting the funding. At least that is a different tact than pretending he didn't.
I have always liked Joe Biden, and I still do. Nevertheless, I think he should have announced shortly after his inauguration in 2021 that he would not run for reelection. That would have opened the 2024 Democrat nomination to a more appealing candidate than Kamala Harris.
