Biden regrets ending re-election campaign, says he would have defeated Trump

Thanks for the heads up on the dates. I have edited.
Yeah, Reagan tapped out of office in the late 1980s if I remember right! I just looked it up: 1989! I still remember watching his funeral for hours where his casket was laid out as thousands passed by paying their last respects.

I don't think he will be in public life, to speak of, by next fall.
You could be right; wouldn't surprise me.

It is unlikely he will last to the end of Trump's term or much beyond.
He may still be alive somewhere as a vegetable in a nursing home unaware of what day of the week it is. I bet Joe's brain is already full of calcium deposits.

If Joe doesn't make it to the end of Trump's term, I hope Don shows just a bit of class, instead of callous at the end.
Trump gets a bad rap, but I think he really does that mostly toward those who have attacked him first. I just hope I'm here to see the end of Trump's term to find out.

Class?? :auiqs.jpg: Why must we pretend like we don't already know the orange bag O' shit for who he is?
Ok, Ok. This is how I am during my charitable pre-inauguration time, as nothing of actual effect, on anybody happening. Plenty of time afterward for me to be less charitable.

Biden reportedly regrets ending re-election campaign and says he’d have defeated Trump

Assuming that Biden actually forwarded that:

The human scumbag (with 9 years of rhetorical garbage experience - which even included 4 years of being the PRESIDENT of the USA - in which period, as he always claims; totally managed to M. A. G. A.), "only" managed to garner 1.8% more votes, then a WOMAN, a COLORED WOMAN, with nothing much to show for in view of a solid/experienced politician.

Well, - then why shouldn't e.g. 2.0% or 2.4% of the American voters simply have overlooked/tolerated a candidates dementia issue??? from which the human scumbag obviously also suffers.
Especially in consideration of being fully aware - that after a Presidential win, Biden would NOT have stayed in office for very long.
(That's what Vice Presidents are also for - now you know)

Had he been out on the campaign trail as a candidate, it's no telling how many new gaffes, trips, falls he would have had between the date of his disastrous debate performance, and election day.
By the time we got to Nov 5th, he likely would have been a hot mess, with little chance of winning.

Kind of sad, really. I felt sorry for Reagan. Age related dementia and Alzheimer, takes a horrible toll, especially once becoming obvious. Reagan left Office in January 20, 1989, disappearing from public life, due to progress of the condition, passing away, due to it in June 2004, after leaving office. Joe will probably go as soon or sooner. I have seen this, first hand. I hate it for anybody going through it, or those close to them.

This is my field. Biden has Lewy-body Dementia which is a Parkinsonian spectrum disease. Life expectancy is 7-8 years post initial diagnosis. Biden has been showing the effects since at least 2019. If he is alive in 3 years, I would frankly be shocked.

Reagan had old fashioned Vascular Dementia which was exacerbated by a fall from a horse after he left the Presidency. Both are obviously bad, but Lewy-body often involves episodes of psychosis and a very steep cognitive decline toward the end. The fact the Dims pushed Biden forward and have lied to the American people is beyond disgusting. But that is the Dims for you. :(

That sounds like, alright. I do not remember the Lewy-body Dementia diagnosis, but dad when through it and 7-8 years is about correct, passing at 84. Sad and spooky to watch. No observer can really understand it, and the patient does not seem to realize it as they get to the point, they do not recognize family members, except seeming somewhat familiar. I think its a family thing, that I will be seeing (or not seeing:rolleyes: ), probably. What did you say your name is, again?:auiqs.jpg:

I am very sorry about your Dad. I wouldn't wish that type of illness on anyone. I would have so many family members bring their parent or grandparent to my ER and look to me for some kind of magic bullet. And unfortunately, there is no magic bullet. Aricept or Numenda can help on the margins, levadopa or others can, at times, help short term Lewy-body dementia, (what they likely did with Joe before big public performances), but the only outcome is progressive decline. It sucks.

I have been so angry Joe's handlers, wife, and family kept trotting him out there to be humiliated and look foolish. They clearly did not give a damn about Joe or the Country imho.

Sorry again about your Dad.

Aricept does little. I'm pretty philosophical about it at this point, since dad died of it at 85, his brother at 84, and my grandfather was dealing with confusion undiagnosed for cause, simply referred to as dementia, leading to a car wreck at 85. He was first. We learned take the keys, take the weapons and keep them at home in familiar surrounding as long as possible.

The American People voted against Bidenomics and the insanity of the woke Left.

Well if that ain't a kick is the ass for Kamala Harris. His doctors must have taken him off his Adderall prescription and put him on Hopium.

Does anyone but Joe really believe he could have beaten Trump? :laughing0301:

Biden reportedly regrets ending re-election campaign and says he’d have defeated Trump

President also regrets picking Merrick Garland for attorney general, as he was slow to prosecute Trump for January 6

"Joe Biden regrets having pulled out of this year’s presidential race and believes he would have defeated Donald Trump in last month’s election – despite negative poll indications, White House sources have said.

The US president has reportedly also said he made a mistake in choosing Merrick Garland as attorney general – reflecting that Garland, a former US appeals court judge, was slow to prosecute Donald Trump for his role in the 6 January 2021 insurrection while presiding over a justice department that aggressively prosecuted Biden’s son Hunter.

With just more than three weeks of his single-term presidency remaining, Biden’s reported rueful reflections are revealed in a Washington Post profile that contains the clearest signs yet that he thinks he erred in withdrawing his candidacy in July after a woeful debate performance against his rival for the White House, Trump, the previous month.

The president stepped aside – to be replaced as his party’s nominee by the US vice-president, Kamala Harris – after mounting pressure from fellow Democrats, who cited polling evidence that appeared to show him heading for a near-certain election drubbing from Trump, who was seeking a historic return to the White House as the Republicans’ nominee.

Harris’s ascent to the top of the ticket led to a surge of enthusiasm and improved poll numbers but ultimately ended in a decisive electoral college and popular vote defeat.

While Biden and his aides have been careful not to blame Harris, they apparently believe the result would have been different if he had stood his ground, according to the Washington Post’s reporting.

It is a view disputed by many Harris supporters, who blame the president for waiting too long before withdrawing, thus leaving the vice-president with little time to mount an effective campaign."

/—-/ Joe is in a drug induced coma. I bet Jill said all of those things.

People with dementia have delusions and hallucinations.

Reagan was the rightful Republican candidate for the 1976 election. It was stolen from him. He was better than the Democrat who would be Carter. The establishment Republicans stayed with Ford.

We've been there already. Trump is incapable of being anything than what he already is.
yes, we have and everything was better, and will be again. but rather than debate it now, let's come back and see where we are in 2027. Save this thread and bring it back then. Can you do that? or are you afraid of being very wrong?

LOL. You will claim things are better that really aren't. MAGA goes on and on about lower priced gas under Trump but never mentions it was because the country was locked down.
