When did the United States last have to confront a deadly serious pandemic prior to Covid-19 ? Very few and so there's no guaranteed fault free process defined for something never experienced before, carried by a virus never seen before, spreading on a scale never seen before.

Of course there were mistakes but these are not the fault of people, these are the result of uncertainty, expecting a perfect resolution to something that was killing thousands all over the world is not only naive its downright idiotic.
