It is less common knowledge that Prostrate cancer is hormone driven and old men have less of the hormone that drives it.
The most likely explanation for his advanced stage, is that he has had it, and they were lying.
One really has to question if his wife put politics ahead of her husband's health.
After the age of 70 years old it is the CDC and Cancer Institute recommendation to NOT do a PSA test anymore....if you are not at a high risk for the cancer.
