XIden has condemned a Florida bill that would ban discussion of sexual orientation in primary schools as "hateful" to LGBT students.

Governor Ron DeSantis has signalled his backing for the measure and it appears to have enough support to pass through the state's Republican-led legislature.

Activists have dubbed it the "Don't Say Gay" bill and warn it will stigmatise LGBT people and issues.

But its proponents say the legislation is about protecting parental rights.

The proposal was introduced in the state House of Representatives last month. An identical version advanced in the state Senate on Tuesday.

In a Twitter message to the LGBT community - "especially the kids who will be impacted by this hateful bill" - Xiden vowed to "continue to fight for the protections and safety you deserve".

At a news conference earlier, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said: "Every parent hopes that our leaders will ensure their children's safety, protection, and freedom.

"Today, conservative politicians in Florida rejected those basic values by advancing legislation that is designed to target and attack the kids who need support the most."

Now, saying NOTHING is hateful? You just can’t win with these people! Why is this a school topic? Shouldn't these discussions be between family members and NOT the whole world?

"The larger issue with all of this is parents must have a seat at the table when it comes to what's going on in their schools," he told reporters on Monday.

Only for republican parents. All in the name of freedom.

Why isn't it enough for LGBTQ people to be treated equally and just be left alone. What is it with these people that makes them insist that others need to agree with and promote their lifestyle? All I want for them are the same things I want for myself and every other American, the ability to freely do and think what they believe in.

Oh yes God forbid teachers spent time teaching children math, science, biology, English, history, woodshop and so on in the classroom.

Covering it somewhat in sex education is fine, but to make it a all out point to talk about social agendas doesn't belong in a school. It's one thing to teach kids something, it's entirely different to condition them and train them on adult based politics. It leaves no room for children to grow and learn about eachother when at a young age teachers are telling them how to think and feel.

Why do libs think its so important to use the schools to groom children into accepting the Homo Lifestyle?

When I was a kid in the 1960's, and 70's, homosexuality is what some ADULTS decided to do. After they grew up, experienced life, some of these grownups made the conscious decision to dress up like broads, hang out at highway rest stops and "gay bars" and take it in the caboose.

Pushing this lifestyle on children is a disgrace, and Brandon would have been tarred and /or feathered in an earlier, more enlightened age for even suggesting this atrocity.

Did you have discussions about your sexual orientations when you were in 3rd grade?

No surprise. There've been indications for quite some time that Biden might be a pedophile. Condemning a law that protects children from sexual abuse certainly fits in very well with that.

I'm old enough to remember when that was all that they claimed that they wanted, to be allowed to practice their sick perversions between consenting adults, in peace and privacy. “Don't force your morality on me!” they cried.

Now they force their immorality on society as a whole, and even go after young children. So much for “consenting adults”.

When it became clear that they were going to start going after children, we should have started rounding them up and killing them. That is a line that we never should have allowed to be approached, much less crossed, and whatever it took to keep them away from that line, we should have done.

Why is it being suggested that it targets anyone, when Desantis already said that it is only about no sex topics of any kind to be discussed or taught to children at too young an age ??? Yes this is a parental issue for sure, and it never should have been adopted by the state to then teach children such topic's without their parents knowledge of it or their consent.

Yes, that's right, Republican parents have no voice when it comes to what's going on in their schools,

That's no problem as long as they aren't going into our schools and infecting our kids with their demented sexual practices.
Children shouldn't be exposed to perversion until they're ready to handle it.
While they're young....their minds can be easily warped to the point that they cannot cope with society.
I don't see the point of turning children into a basket-case setting them up for suicide.
After all, Gays have alot of suicides among their ranks.
All we need is our schools turning out a bunch of Jussie Smolletts.

Well, Joe Biden is a pedophile so of course he is opposed to the FL anti-grooming law

Why do you advocate for Homosexual Acts to be taught to 5 year olds?
