WASHINGTON — The desperate plea landed this week in the email inboxes of employees in government agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and NASA: Will you consider taking a four-month paid leave from your job to help care for migrant children in government-run shelters packed with new arrivals at the border?

The request to much of the federal workforce came from the Department of Health and Human Services, which is at the heart of a frantic effort by the Biden administration to keep up with a surge in young people crossing the southwestern border hoping to reunite with relatives already in the United States.

The pressure is producing tension inside the White House. President Joe Biden expressed frustration with Xavier Becerra, his new secretary of health and human services, in a White House meeting March 30, for what the president views as bureaucratic holdups in increasing capacity, according to two administration officials familiar with the exchange.

Oh? How about the millions of parents who can't work because the government won't let their children go to school.

How many suicides do you demand before you think enough is enough?

Everything has a cost. Remember that.

How about Biden, Harris, Pelosi, the rest of the congresscritters, and other beaurocrats, take four months without pay to go take care of them....... Matter of fact they can take the next year or two off without pay to go take care of their mess.

We got foster kids here in the U.S. and nobody wants them. Sometimes you have 4 or 5 sharing a room. How many of these migrant kids were used to get an adult over the border? or how many were sent here on their own by their parents back in Honduras. That should never happen, they werent orphans to begin with. I think we have a heart for any kid but what we are doing is giving more incentive for more to get sent here, and on the way its very dangerous, some of them dont make it here or get abused. The payments are also going to drug cartels who are murderers.
Let these people apply for citizenship or asylum before they leave home, then they can bypass a lot of that bad stuff.

Have no parents MY ASS! They have worthless slugs for parents! Their parents sent them across the border alone.

Serves the bastard Biden right that his stupid border policy backfired. His handlers are just too damn proud to reinstate the Trump border policies ...the ones that WORKED WELL FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE....and for MEXICO!

Does it include escorting them back to the border?

Well the good news is that the feckless government is gone, and Joe Biden is now cleaning up his mess.

It shows me they don't know what to do to stem the flow and KNOW that it's only going to get worse! If they had to hire new people to do the job they've now made necessary it would be an embarrassment. So instead they do this!

The "mess" you refer to was created by Joe Biden doing away with the policies that Donald Trump put in place to deal with immigration! Joe Biden OWNS that!

I'd do it.
Be careful for what you wish for...

Many of you throw your hands up in the air while screaming “ me “ while not realizing those kids are owned by the coyotes that work for the Human Trafficking Rings and money is owed.

We just had a known recent case I was involved in where the family was told they must pay a certain amount of money for the child or those that brought the child will come for the money one way or the other.

So you should truly know what you are signing up for and do not think for a moment in Maine the cartel will not still come and kidnap that child back...

Biden and the U.S. Government are not telling the whole story when it come to these kids and the fact they are owned by the Cartels that are connected not only to Mexican Gangs but also Russian and Chinese organized crime that is backed by those governments...
