She was an elected official, therefore simple firing wasn't an option.
I agree, if she couldn't do the work she should have quit.
But that's not what she did. She attempted to impose her religion as a function of her job, not only not doing her job - but ordering subordinates not to do theirs either.
No need, she's a classic example.

She didn't make people tithe or go to church, that's imposing your religion as per the Constitution.
The only imposing being done these days is from the left, with the whole Pride thing in Public schools as exhibit A.
