You present a current narrative based on bibliolatry that has been passed down now for almost three millenia.
The problem: Christians today must believe the Bible as a whole, is the "Infallible Word of God", therefore, everything between Genesis and Revelation must be true, correct and adhered.

This narrative removes all critical thought around "The Bible".

First, the Bible never says of itself that it is the "Word of God", is infallible, perfect, literal representation of God, creation, history, etc. Jesus himself, never claimed that to be a believer of himself that: A Bible is coming that is infallible, perfect, literal representation of God, creation, history, and will define what it means to be a Christian. In fact, Christianity grew, for almost three centuries before the RCC decided that they needed to codified the letters of the NT and then marry them with Jewish scripture, incorrectly.

With the forming of "The Bible" we have then for centuries and centuries tried to understand why the OT god and the NT representation of God through Jesus are two completely different representations. I purpose that the ancient Israelites misappropriated and incorrectly anthropomorphized God by applying attributes, commands, war victories to God that is outside of God's character.

Jesus, if God incarnate, is the true representation of God. I would then purpose that the OT, for Christians, is only of value from a historical perspective and context, and not necessary for the establishment of what is required to be Christian. Once Jesus fulfilled the old covenant, a new covenant was created not between God and Nation, but between God and the individual. Paul explicitly understood this and is evident in his writings to many of the gentile churches.

Therefore, your representation of the God of hate, is usurped by the true representation of God through the crucified God and his Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is love and I would agree that Christians today should express love to their neighbor, regardless of sex, race, anything.
