He was sharing his political/religious views, something that the Left seems to think is a no, no as long as it conflicts with Left wing ideology in any way. Those kids are indoctrinated and not taught to think critically.
Case in point was a conversation Charley was having about economics. The student he was talking with questioned just how educated Charlie was since he had no college degree. But then Charlie began to ask him questions, some he should have known but did not, like who Milton Freidman was. The kid knew who Maynard Keynes was, because the Left loves him, but had no idea who Milton Freidman was, someone who Reagan held in high esteem and whose economic policies he tried to implement, much like how FDR tried to implement the policies of Keynes.
