a person, especially an orator or political leader, who gains power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people. Demagogue Define Demagogue at Dictionary.com
Ted Cruz and Al Gore are excellent examples of demagogues. They sway people by their passions not the facts, and certainly not by critical thinking.
Where_r_my_Keys and Silhouette are, in my opinion, demagogues with a minimal skill in skewing the facts. Sil's twisting of Windsor and Keys insistence that a particular religious sermon is correct and the Constitution is not on what the term "natural born" means for presidential candidacy are good examples of such behavior.
